And they just announced that doom eternal gets a free next gen upgrade! Within minutes of my purchase. Knowing a next gen version of most late AAA releases would be coming is what has held me back on a lot of purchases, but a free upgrade for previous owners is a great new trend I’d like to see more of. I don’t have RDR2 yet, it’s obviously coming to the next gen systems, probably the systems after that too, but I’d buy it now if I knew a free next gen upgrade was coming.

It shouldn't be YMMV. It's either uniformed employees that can't do an easy job correctly or managers being douches and making up their own rules. All stores are supposed to accept those if they come up. Of course, there's basically no GS customer service right now so good luck complaining about it.
Not to mention, why the hell does GS still have a store inventory checker if it hasn't been working for over a month now? What's the point? And why do random pages of games randomly disappear?
But you know what pisses me off the most? That "load more" button. It made going through the bumped values list a chore. GS used to have a good website then they changed it to a site that's broken half the time and annoying to use the other half.
You complain a lot, so maybe this will at least shut you up regarding the last point.

"I swear there's a return ban! I've never experienced one and I've never actually known someone who has, but I swear it's a thing!!"
No. Unless the ceiling is 2k+ that triggers it like the trade ban, then there isn't one.
Exactly. Unless it's a store triggered return ban where a certain employees has overwhelming evidence that you are doing something suspicious, there is no such thing. I do all my returns at different stores each time to ensure something like this, if it just so happens to be a thing, doesn't happen. Even then, it's probably a store related return block. I'm sure you and I give more business to GS than everyone else here who pretends to know things.
You've been on here a month, and you're already acting like you know everything. Nobody but you is pretending like they know things.

It can, which adds value. The Vita is a solid system, but the back touch panel can easily get scratched to hell, which is why I would be weary of a $100 price point for it. But yes, with a Vita you get solid emulation for PSP, PS1 and most third and fourth gen systems. With 3DS you get GB, GBC, GBA, DS, very limited PS1 and then most third and fourth gen systems (NES/Super NES/Genesis/etc). I think there's also some arcade emulation and one-off systems like NeoGeo Pocket or something, plus RetroArch support.
This is actually a decent break down with some pros and cons - https://versus.com/e...vs-sony-vita-3g
If you had asked me 5 years ago, I would have been the Vita all the way. It's a beautiful, high quality piece of tech that was heavily underutilized and abandoned by Sony. But if you're comparing a potentially grungy Vita to a brand new 2DS XL in 2020, I think you'll get more value at a lower price point picking up the 2DS. Here's the thing - $99 for the system, $20 or less for a 32 GB micro SD card and a trip to certain boards on Reddit and you've pretty much unlocked the entire 3DS library. The Vita is a bit more complicated ... and the hack is a bit more involved. Plus, if you're buying a used Vita, there used to be models that couldn't be hacked bc of system updates. I think they may have finally cracked it, but 3DS/2DS is fully cracked and buying this $99 model will guarantee you can hack it for emulators, etc. Just my two cents, I'll be quiet now ;-).
Agreed. A new vita for $150 would be a better buy imo than a used vita for $100 or a new 2DS XL at $100.
I have hacked the OG Xbox, Wii, Wii U, and now a PS Vita 1000 series... and the Vita was definitely the biggest PITA out of all those to hack. This is all the stuff I sunk into it, to get the full experience, and probably a whole day to get the hacks to work.
PS Vita: $99.99 (Gamestop)
SD2Vita: $5.95 (Amazon)
PS Vita 16gb Memory Card: $16.95 (Amazon)
L2/R2 Grips: $22.37 (Ebay)
Sandisk 128gb MicroSD Card: $14.99 (Gamestop)
The vita I have is grundgy, and I feel kind of annoyed sinking so much time into it because of the condition (I'm anal about condition, and was expecting more from the vita I got from Gamestop... but I bought it in March and due to COVID I dind't really have the option of returning it in store and trying to get another vita in better condition).
So add $50 on top of the price I paid, since that seems to be what vita's are going for ($150, vs the $100 I paid), and you have over $200 invested in a used system. Not exactly spectacular.

Any good ideas for a $4 item to add to get to free shipping?
The below is for PS4 games between $3.98 and $5.00.
https://www.gamestop.com/video-games/playstation-4/games/pre-owned?pmax=5.00&pmin=3.98&start=1&sz=256Change "playstation-4" to "xbox-one" or "switch" depending on which console you're wanting to get a cheap filler game for.
Used code block due to fucking cheapassgamer affiliate links messing it up if just copy/pasting link.

Been waiting for gamestop to open back up so I can return some games, but forget about that. If it were just limited to that, I couldn't care less... but thanks to this we all may as well kiss summer goodbye.
In closing, people suck.

Maybe it'll eventually be in a YOU WANT THIS BOX for $60 and then you'll bite and can then fly some random unwanted figurines around the neighborhood and drop on top of that random roofs for the HoA to write up and send nasty grams to.
Wish I would have seen this comment when I had upstairs neighbor from hell. Stealth drop bags of poop onto their balcony at night time.

Where else am I gonna trade games? Walmart and Target don't accept trades anymore afaik, and amazon and best buy offer crappy TIV's generally.
Why is anyone jumping to GameStop's defense..?
The track record of decades speaks for itself.

Bold move by Camelot and think he might have opened up some legal trouble for himself.
Listening to the video now. GameStop really looking bad with this move along with the pictures posted by ThatOneGuyWho above.
I mean isn't it illegal to record a call without the other person's consent?
