I AM SORRY!
Cannot believe Orange Box is added. I own it but still haven't finished Episode 1 or 2. (I know, I know...)
Don't feel too bad. Valve hasn't finished episode 3 after all this time either.

Very surprised by the Raiden deal. Imported that day one (before it was announced it was coming to America). The US release wasn't surprising, but the $15 price point is. If you have any interest in shmups, get this as it's quite solid.
Sale is a bust for me. Might pick up Clockwork Tales for the easy 1k and maybe Super Party Sports. Can't really beat the price on that.

OK, guys - I've got $14 on my Xbox Live account and I'm thinking about buying Outland ($3.99), Rayman Legends ($9.99)and Valiant Hearts ($5.99). Which of these games has the best value? And do any of these go on sale regularly?
If you buy nothing else, Rayman Legends is a must buy in my opinion. One of my favorite platformers on the 360/X1. It redoes some of the levels from Origins with it's own original levels, including the much loved music levels. Enjoyed the game so much that I got the 1,000 on both versions of the game. That said, if you are into achievements, there is one achievement to watch out for. While the game as a whole is easy to 100%, to reach the maximum level of awesome, it will take roughly 3 months if you get gold on every daily challenge. Diamond does cut the time considerably as you'll get 50 points as opposed to 10, but it's limited to the top 1% as opposed to the top 10%. While I don't recall my stats, for comparison sake, on the 360 I got 90-95% gold (the others being silver) and it took me 3 months. On the X1, I got a couple diamonds (maybe one a week?) and the game start to finish took me only a month and a half.
The hardest of the bunch is Outland. The platforming itself isn't terribly difficult, but the enemies can wreck you if you're not careful. Bullets are flying across the screen, and only way to progress in some cases is to color shift. Mechanic plays very similar to Ikaruga (bullet hell shmup). I'd recommend it purely on the fact it's a bit different than a lot of other platformers, but if you prefer easier platformers may not be your cup of tea.
Valiant Hearts is the only one that I don't have much experience with. Bean dived it when the game went free with gold on the X1, and in my limited time seemed on the easier side and more story driven than Rayman or Outland.

Forgot to ask, but if this sale sucks, how good is Coffin Dodgers? Sure it's no Forza, and it has easy achievements from what I heard, but is it worth the $8?
Also Student, I think you missed my post from yesterday. Wanted to ask you

In my head, I imagine you just wearing a wife beater and socks when answering the door. Nothing else.
Socks on his feet or...?
So is Dad Beat Dads not complete bullshit? Or would I be better off spending my $3 on two boxes of Hot Tamales?
I picked it up. If you have friends to play with, I could see it being a decent party game for a few rounds. Also, easy achievements (especially with 4 controllers). A few grindy achievements.
As for spending money on Hot Tamales, Target where I live has the Tropical Heat variety on clearance for 50% off. 6 boxes or Dad Beat Dads. Is a hard choice because damn are those Hot Tamales good (and not as hot as the original which is preferred).
Also on clearance, the Vanilla Ice Cream Mike And Ikes are pretty good too. Haven't tried the Blueberry Cobbler or the red ones though.
Major Nelson if he doesn't post the 360 date night deals as soon as he can.
Did we ever get a 360 sale this past week?
This is cool. I hadn't heard about it. How are 'Rare Achievements' determined? Are developers tagging a subset of their defined achievements as rare, or is MS just determining rarity based on how many users actually received an achievement and it's 'Rare' if it's under a certain threshold?
I hope this leads to completion percentages on the Xbox platform like Steam and PSN have. Having that and the ability to see how far you are away from receiving an achievement would be the best of all worlds IMO.
An achievement group I'm in was discussing the rarity of achievements a few days ago. While there are going to be a lot of achievements considered rare by Microsoft as opposed to a site like TrueAchievements, we think something may be a bit wonky. As an example, a game that has an achievement for literally pressing start only has a percentage of 75% or so.
So that means a bunch of everyone is gonna be online playing that Barbie game then?
I'm waiting for Monster High personally. Always been a sucker for games with character customization.
Unrelated, but if I change my avatar to Nahiri, are you going to throw me into the Helvault?

Steelers may have 6 rings, and Patriots may have 4 (although how many are legitimate is debatable), but can either of you say your teams have a perfect season under their belt? INCLUDING the playoffs? #1972
From a pure stat perspective, as good as Brady's numbers have been, you have to wonder how much of it is a product of the Pats system and how good he'd be elsewhere. Also, maybe if it wasn't for Billicheat, maybe Brady would have more honor as well, but that's neither here nor there. And while this will never happen (since he's not a member of the union), I think EA should put Billicheat on the cover of a Madden game. Maybe then their reign can finally end.
Back on subject, looks like I'll have to pick up Forza next week. Presuming the early access is only with the Deluxe edition? In that case, not worth it for me, mainly since I'll be doing multiple prerelease events for Magic The Gathering this week. If only the Masterpiece cards would be added into Magic Duels like the rest of the set no doubt will be eventually. Then again, that'd be broken as all hell. Rarity be damned.
