I managed to get a second PS5 last week, this time via Direct Queue. Not for reselling - I don't do that. Just so my son can have his own for when we play multiplayer games together.
What worked for me is what other people have been saying: load up the Direct Queue on seriously as many browsers and devices as you can. I was doing only one or two browsers at a time initially and had no luck. As soon as I switched to 4-5 (that's 2-3 devices and a browser or two on each), it worked. I got into the queue twice. The first time just sold out a minute after I got into the store, but the second time, I managed to get an order in.
If you have old phones or computers or tablets or whatever laying around, boot em up. If you can get 10 browsers onto the queue, I'd wager your odds are > 50%. Just estimating based on what I've seen with queue times, as about 75% of the time I got "more than an hour" and those are the ones I never got into the store with.
Something I haven't seen people mention before is that you get better shipping options if you have an active PS+ subscription. I was in too much of a rush to checkout to look at the details, but it was either faster or free. I added a controller to my cart for free shipping before I knew that..so the controller might not have been necessary.

Good to hear that they came through for you. How are you liking the ps5 so far?
Loving it. The jump in graphics is a lot bigger than I was expecting: all the PS5 games I've played so far run at 60 FPS and look so good. The UX of the system itself is a lot nicer, too. Just a great system all around.

Got my PS5 yesterday, but still no email from GameStop with the $50 PSN code and 1 year of PS+ code. They did send the $20 GameStop gift card a long time ago. Anyone else still waiting? Curious whether this is out of the norm and worth contacting them about now.
Update: I ended up just e-mailing Gamestop via their site, and they offered to replace or refund the $50 code and PS+ code. Refunded. That worked out well; I didn't want to pay full price for a PS+ code anyway, and only did so because the bundle was the only way to get the console.

Any CAGs developing games lately? Let's get this topic going again
I'm working on a game right now called Eternal Exodus, a game that looks a bit like Pokemon and plays like a Shin Megami Tensei with a few twists, like the addition of item crafting, a Final Fantasy-esque world map to explore, a heavy emphasis on sidequests, and minigames.
I've taken a lot of care in writing the story and assembling the soundtrack too, because those are two of the most important factors for me personally in playing a JRPG. I worked on the story for close to a year before I sat down to start programming the game. The soundtrack is a mix of some licensed music and some custom tracks I've been writing.
Multi-language support is coming, too. On every system and region, you'll be able to play in English or Japanese, and hopefully some other languages if budget allows (Chinese is a hope of mine, because the game's website gets a lot of traffic from China). I'm planning to add support for showing multiple languages at once, so if you're learning a new language, you can play in it while still having the English text on-screen if you need a translation.
Release is looking like late 2021 on Steam, PS4, Switch, and hopefully Xbox. Pricing will most likely be $14.99 or $19.99.
Here are a few screenshots:
If you're interested, please consider wishlisting it on Steam, because that helps me out a lot. Other devs have told me that games show up higher in Steam listings if they have more wishlists, making it easier for other peeps to find the game.

NFL Blitz would be so good. I'd really like to have one of those in my house for Christmases and stuff; everyone in my fam has a lot of nostalgia for that game.
Plenty of racing games to tap into - Super Off-Road, Daytona, Cruis'n, Sega Rally, and the Mario Kart unit!
Then, of course, NFL Blitz !!

not sure if this has been mentioned but EA Play has a 1 month deal for 99 cents. I don't like sports games but jedi order is on there and a few other decent picks. cancel before it bills you more.
Good deal for a buck if you remember to turn off auto-renew. You can turn off auto-renew immediately after buying it and still use it for the remainder of the month. Here's a direct link to the subscription management page for everyone's convenience:
