In Topic: Target Clearance Thread XXIV

09 March 2023 - 04:00 AM

wow this is my first Target haul in a longggggggggggg time. Went to a slightly out of the way Target and found:

Soul Hackers 2 XBX $17.99

Soul Hackers 2 PS5 $17.99

Ghostbusters XBX $11.99

Tactics Ogre PS5 $14.99

Star Ocean XBX $17.99

Only one I did not find is Jojoes bizarre adventure, but Its been so long since ive seen any Target clearance that Im thrilled.

Also echoing what most people said: many targets dont even put games out anymore, they just have empty racks (while seemingly keeping games in the back) - so bizarre.

amazon is the only store I try to never return stuff to. Unless its something huge like an item literally comes broken etc. This is probably also why I stopped shopping Amazon Warehouse Deals.

Wouldnt want to get banned.

In Topic: Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 3: La Pucelle: Ragnarok / Rhapsody: A Mus...

All three prinny presents releases have game ending bugs for one game.

So it's likely cheaper to buy digital copies, since physical requires patching to be playable.

wow I just looked into this and its true. not sure of the first one but I guess Makai Kingdom in vol 2 and La Pucelle in vol 3 have game breaking bugs where it just crashes at a certain point.

They did release patches, but the whole point of these physical editions is to play it on cartridge without downloading anything :(. thats disappointing.

yea i think it will sell out at this price. If anyone is wondering I dont think volume 1 or 2 made it lower than $30 (before selling out). So this is a pretty good price all thing considered.

Lol, you people make code sound like it’s the secret formula for coke or something. Code is modified all the time and unless a company has perfect versioning, it becomes more difficult to revert the more changes are made to it especially if the devs were lax in their documentation which these companies in the 90s and the early 2000s undoubtedly were. It’s a small wonder all this talk of “lost” source code occurred for games made more than 20 years ago when tools like Git were not widely available or adopted. You also can’t just take old code, even if you have it in its unvarnished state, and expect to build on it if there’s been a 20 year evolution in programming tools. Old ass code might not even compile without serious effort lol.

Lol this is a better explanation than mine. Just saw it.
