And if you people that want physical rewards that you won't see for months would stop using the site for a day or two all the people that want digital rewards can claim their items, get them, and never return to the site. This frees it up for you to claim your rewards that you won't even get for months.

Except that the physical rewards can sell out, the digital ones can't.

I'm surprised so many people want the bag, it's too small for me to use it. I think the puzzle is nicer.

Well I happen to think a 300 piece puzzle is too small for me to use. :P The bag will be great for me to take my 11" Chromebook and charger around with me like I already do with my Club Nintendo Star bag.

Target should really have learned by now that hot items in low production should be held and sold at the customer service counter to avoid the runnerd.

I had the weirdest experience this morning. I have two Targets within 10 minutes of my house. My wife went to one, I went to the other. We both got to our respective locations at 7:20am, with no one else there.

Around 7:30am, an old guy got to my location and was smoking a cigarette far away. 10 minutes later, his wife got out of the car and they both moved up to the front of the door. I was sitting against the wall to the side of the door.

Around 7:45am, a 17-ish looking kid came up.

When they opened the doors at 8am, the kid grabbed a shopping cart and TORE down the aisles towards the amiibos. I casually walked with the old couple to the aisle, where we saw him crouched down scanning everything.

There were 7 Rosalina, 2 Sheik, tons of Bowser and Toon Link, and standard fare otherwise.

The old guy made a comment about how the kid got there so fast, and he just seemed pretty worked up. He then just walked away with his empty cart. What was he even looking for?

The old couple then mentioned they were just looking for some "Toon Link" character. I pointed it out for them. I told them the big event though was the Target exclusive Rosalina, and to a lesser extent, Sheik. They took my advice for the Rosalina, and mulled over Sheik.

I grabbed two Rosalina (one for a friend in case he had no luck), and one Sheik (I wanted the other for a friend, but I wanted to give the old couple a chance). They passed up on Sheik, ultimately, so I grabbed a second for a friend.

The phone was ringing off the hook with people asking for Rosalina, and the guy was getting pissed. As he was ringing me up, he suggested that I buy all the other Rosalina to piss off all the annoying callers, who were demanding he hold them aside over the phone. We chuckled.

My wife's location was a bit more heated, letting in "team members with guests" on the side door 30 minutes before 8am. After that, they only allowed one per customer, but they were claiming they got 100 Rosalina units in stock. Funny that the store that got 7 had no limit, and the one with 100 limited to one per customer.

Oh well, I got my Rosalina and Sheik; I'm happy!

Just had one of my two MM XLs canceled by Best Buy. The second one was for my friend, whose favorite game of all time is Majora's Mask. Lame, but understandable.

Crazy. Kind of wish I didn't open those 3, but I can't live like that; better to enjoy life and the spoils of consumerism it brings!

Funny that Amex, Chase Freedom, and Discover users get better offers than Amazon's own Rewards Visa cardholders ever do.

You'd think they would have picked out more stores in Southern California.

Yeah. I live in Ventura County, so I'll check out the Culver City store, but I likely won't drive back there two more times to pick the games up as they release.

Did they really need to slap the logo for the game on it? A little subtlety would've piqued my interest, but this looks like a promotional 3DS XL more than it does a collector's item.

Kids, this is why you eat the extra $5 and pick it up instore at GS on launch day.

Say what you will about their other practices, but I've never had anything less than a stellar CE/LE experience with them. Always hidden away in the reserve drawer in perfect condition.

I will never pay a retailer any amount over MSRP for anything. In fact, I don't shop at retailers that do that, because I find them despicable.

I ordered my BD CE on BestBuy.com last week for $39.99 and free overnight shipping thanks to GCU and Elite Plus benefits, and got it on launch day.

I've pre-ordered many rare editions of games on BestBuy.com long after they sold out on Amazon or GameStop.com, and never have they canceled on me. In-Store Pick Up is horrible, sure, but their dot com pre-orders have never failed me.

Not available for shipping and available anywhere near me. :(

Does this mean there are morons who got defective consoles and traded them into GameStop instead of getting them replaced under standard retail return policy, or full a full refund if no replacements were available?

 

It's people like that who keep GameStop in business...

How cooperative is Best Buy being with deal matching TRU on the power discs? My TRU has been wiped clean for days, and don't know when they'll re-stock. I have a Best Buy down the street from me, but I've not had them deal match for me since 2008. That said, this is such a small item that I'd think they may be more lenient.

 

Their customer service moves like turtles, though, so I'd rather get an idea for my chances before I head over there and waste an hour of my life or more over this.
