#13957797 XBL Gold $14.99 for 3 months or $9.99 for 3 months

Still a huge rip off. Boggles my mind how cheapassgamers can buy a toilet and then pay a water bill and then pay extra for toilet paper. Can you really be a cheapass if you are paying $40-$60 a year to wipe?

Don't be taken in by this nonsense, he's being paid off by Big Bidet.

#13916722 XBL Deals - 2017, Part II

Posted by kdiddy1989 on 29 December 2017 - 07:42 AM

Can you guys help me out with a purchase confusion.

I was browsing the sale today and happened across Forza Horizon 3, and thought about buying it. I haven’t played a racing game in a long time, but I’ve heard rave reviews for both gameplay and visuals, plus the HotWheels DLC just looks like fun!

Anyway, I went to make the purchase, but was immediately confused about the various DLCs, which were incomprehensible to me. I was hoping someone could guide me in the best purchase to get the most (or at least the best) content for the lowest price.

PS - Why does the “Ultimate Edition” which is like $100 not contain all the DLC?! It seems insane!!!

If the Hot Wheels DLC is the big selling point to you, CDKeys has Forza Horizon 3 and the Hot Wheels DLC for $28 right now.

If you don't care about collecting cars then you may not want the ultimate edition. That'll pretty much just give you VIP and the first 6 car packs. VIP will give you double earnings from races and a few extra cars. I believe most anyone would agree that the Hot Wheels expansion is a must buy. The other expansion, Blizzard Mountain, is fun, but not as much as Hot Wheels. But the expansion pass is cheaper than either expansion so just buy that.

Do you have any more specific questions?

#13794948 Cobalt (X1) FREE on Japanese M$ Store Region Free

Posted by BronsonsArmor on 01 August 2017 - 03:28 PM

So last month I saw that Zoo Tycoon was free for Japans GWG, so I figured I would check to see if there was a new free game available to download for the month of August. I was pleased to find another free game called Cobalt. Haven't had s chance to play it yet but can confirm the download worked and installed just fine. Attached is a video I made to help navigate the Japanese menus.

It seems like free is an inevitability... why waste the money?

Some people (like me) enjoy having a physical copy for their collection. This is the lowest price I've seen physically, so I bit.

The Loeb jokes in this thread are better than the deals. 😂

Just pickup the Pro or future Super Pro and a 360. Forget about the X1, a system with no Japanese support and the very few exclusives left are all on PC. I have all consoles and a gaming PC. The X1 is the least useful console this gen for me. I actually still use my 360 more than it. The 360 was and still is a real gaming console because that's when MS was willing to do whatever it takes to be successful and it shows in their software lineup. Even MS knows it, hense the back compat, which is quite an amazing emulator but still far too limited library thus far. It's sad that they need to rely on last gen to pull through.

I go to my main store at opening and they had some guy who I've never seen before. I think I made him cry because he stepped to me all happy with that PD ad in hands and started his spill when I cut him short by saying I'm good the deals are horrible. He stepped back and said "what?? Borderlands is $14". I'm like yea it's hella dated. He just walked away with his head down

Topic change! Remember, the one thing we all have in common is we all love Xbox. But we don't have to agree - or talk - about politics.

#13604589 Best Buy 2-Day Sale (Jan 20-21)

The new GH was surprisingly fun to play if anyone is on the fence.

My only complaint is the lack of DLC, you can't buy songs. Instead you rent them for fake money, but if you run out of fake money you have to play a bunch of random OR on disc songs to get more fake money.

Or buy fake money if you're a true psychopath.

Yeah, I still give Activision a lot of credit for the creativity of Guitar Hero Live. I played it for the first time in a few months (hoping for new music) the other day, and I still love the classic MTV/MTV2 vibe it has with the online channels. Some people might not like playing random songs, but I think it's a great way to get exposed to new music. And it's really awesome how they basically have "shows" with timeslots for genres, so if you do only like a couple different types of music, you know when to get on and can enjoy those songs. It's actually a really cool format.

And the new guitar button configuration is great. I love Rock Band and I was thrilled when PDP finally made the wired instrument adapter so I could play my Ion drums again. But I actually think playing guitar is more fun in GH. So, if you're mainly a guitar player and have a bit of a rhythm gaming itch, I'd definitely give Guitar Hero Live a shot.
