#14300426 Nintendo eShop Deals - 2/11: Capcom/Namco/Ubisoft Sales! $20 Hades,...

I bought it on the PS3 years ago, and I still never finished it. I'd say that you need to be patient. It's a beautiful game, and it has a great story. But there is a lot of grinding as you go. That's why I never finished it.

At first I thought you were describing Duke Nukem 3D

Lol

I don't usually complain about game prices, but the pair of Darius Cozmic Collections are obscenely overpriced.

And the Console edition is only 124 MBs in size! Talk about a small amount of content for $60. I guess they are charging what you would have to pay to get the actual games individually on ebay or something?

I still want to get this when it is on sale at some point. No way am I spending a premium on a small amount of retro Shmups.  Darius Twin is my favorite of the games in this collection and I already have that on my SNES mini so I am good for now.

Part of it is that they are pricing it compared to the physical Japanese releases, and part of it is that these are (supposedly) great ports done by M2. Individual game ports by M2 in the SEGA AGES series are $8 each. Compare that to the Sega Genesis Collection with dozen of shitty ROMs dumped on a cute front-end UI menu, with each game priced in cents, not dollars. Also of note is that Darius games are rather niche titles, so that sadly is factoring into the price. I think they are also getting physical releases in North America, which usually ends up keeping the digital price up higher than it might otherwise if there weren't a physical release. I'm not trying to argue any of these, just explaining why I am not surprised by the pricing. I will say that I feel M2 and Hamster should be getting paid accordingly for their work on porting old games, as we know full well that a lot of old game ports not done by M2 and Hamster lead to laggy garbage ROM dumps, which are usually priced accordingly, which makes people think M2 and Hamster ports should also cost pennies.

If these two Darius collections were $20 or less each, I'd have them bought already, but the prices do give me pause. I have thought many times over the past year+ about importing the physical games from Japan, and then later thinking about buying them off Japanese eShop, but now I'm glad I didn't. I'll probably end up buying these at "full" price off the Mexican eShop, or if I don't just holding out for a future sale. The publisher ININ Games (https://www.dekudeal...her]=ININ Games) is fairly new to Switch, so they've never had a sale on their titles, so no way of knowing if these Darius collections will even ever see a sale.

Can folks confirm that Switch save games are compatible with digital and physical versions of games? I assume so but wanted to ask before I buy a cheap copy for digital.

I have also not encountered any issue in the past. I would expect that every game should work fine, but I suppose there could be a possibility of an incompatibility if a dev did something weird and made their digital and physical version different. Hopefully Nintendo has a policy for that not to be the case, since every game (with a couple exceptions) are sold on the eShop. Would make patching easier if both version are identical, too.

All I want is the ability to alphabetize games. PS3 couldn't do it either and it's maddening.

You can alphabetize on Switch! It's been there for a quite a while now. Go to All Software (to the right of your last 10 played games), then hit the R button to change the sorting to "By Title".

has the marvel ultimate alliance DLC ever gone on sale? I really liked the base game, but just rather pay less for the DLC.

Never been on sale according to DekuDeals. I could be wrong, but I do not recall a time when a Nintendo-published game DLC has ever gone on sale on the eShop. If there are physical cards at Target for the Marvel UA3 DLC, that might be your only hope.

Got excited for a second there when I thought they were taking about part 1 (or anything less than 7 really). Between this and "Burning Love Story" or whatever, Nintendo is clearly pulling out all the stops and going after that phone game market.

Nintendo made an easy and low-cost system to develop for. Simple as that.

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom - $19.99 - 50% Off - Ends 12/25

Yesss. I'd been hoping to get this and lo and behold it's on sale this morning. Overlooked it when it released, I think because as much as I loved the art style of Wonder Boy, it was a little too old school for me so I was afraid this would be more of the same but really really enjoying Monster Boy so far, the hour or so I've played it.

Great game, though a little too new school for my tastes! It's definitely a fusion of Wonder Boy but with 21st Century "Metroidvania" gameplay, padded out to 20+ hours of playtime to finish, plus way more to 100%.

I'm guessing things may be difficult because of Rare, but if anyone knows who I need to sleep with to get DKC2 in the SNES catalog, let me know.

Is there any way to buy games without physically having my switch? It's scheduled for delivery today but I think the sale will be over by the time I get it.

Humble Bundle Store has their Switch code sale ending at 11:59pm Pacific. They have the big items from the eShop Cyber sale, and a small handful of indies. At least with this option you'll get the full-price gold coins when you redeem the code that you buy from Humble.

I'm looking for a good "digital-only" Switch exclusive shooter and see that Galak-Z is on sale.  Any opinions on this one? There also seems to be a free version of the game so I don't know if the Deluxe edition is even worth it at the sale price.

It’s not Switch-exclusive so if that’s vital then you’d need to look elsewhere.

Galak-Z is fun, I played it when it originally came out on PS4. Not sure how it runs, but a quick look at reviews show that it seems fine on Switch. The free-to-play Galak-Z is completely different than the game that costs money. I'm pretty sure the F2P version is junk that originally showed up on mobile (iOS/Android). The real game is a fun twin-stick mech shooter, and I was thinking of grabbing it at this very low price just to play through it again.

If you don't buy at least one of these, Sakurai will personally come to your house and punch you in the face.

Agreed, and if you only buy one, you should definitely buy Garou: Mark of the Wolves!

How are you liking BG so far? I rolled my first charname last night and I have to say it's weird getting used to. It's also microscopic on handheld, which was the whole point of me buying it. Why they didn't implement touch controls, I'll never know either.

Holy crap, I forgot BG/BG2 were coming to Switch. BG2 is my GOAT so I will have to pick this up. I just did some googling and saw that there's a revamped control scheme that lets your left analog move the party around like a more modern RPG, which sounds great, except you won't get to hear "YOU MUST GATHER YOUR PARTY BEFORE VENTURING FORTH", which is sad.

The lack of touch controls are especially confusing since these games have been ported to iOS and Android years ago (though I’m assuming these Switch versions are ports of the PC versions).
