Cool I picked this up. Anyone have any opinions on the g512 keyboard it's on sale for $50 seems like a good deal as well

Never touched it but it looks like a good deal or a small profile no thrills mechanical keyboard from a truly solid company.  That's not meant to sound backhanded or anything...  Everyone just seems to make BIG keyboards nowdays.

Does anyone have any of the Star Wars movies (OG & Prequels) available? You'd think with Disney+ out there, the value on them would tank a bit, but they don't seem to be out there for less than $10 a piece anywhere.

VUDU has the orginal six for 48.99 in a bundle right now.

MLB: The Show to be released for more than PlayStation platforms in 2021:

That would be the most amazing thing ever if it released on PC...  The Show is legitimately one of the biggest exclusives that Sony has.  I can only fathom how much MLB is paying them to go multi-platform.

OMG I've been invited to the GoG Galaxy 2.0 beta!  First of all I'd like to thank the man above, God.  I'd also like to thank MysterD and InmateofArkham, without whom, none of this would be possible.   Finally I want to thank my step sister for her brave attempt at opening a bottle of champagne.  A whole new world of all-in-one PC game browsing awaits me.

That's awesome!  I'm loving it though its recent problem with the Steam plugin crashing constantly was annoying but they got it fix reasonably quick.  I even have a 3rd party plugin to track PoE stuff and it works great.  It not tracking time is on GGG not sharing such info.

I really hope Code: Veronica gets the same Remake treatment as 2 and 3.

Do the remakes still have limited saves like the originals?

Also, for the few who care the Division 2 starts a new apparel event today..  No more randomness.  You get one key every three caches.  (I don't think my odds were bad enough ever that I was doing anywhere close to 1 key every 3...  Should be interesting.

Stream aside, are the games usually worth the $30?

Fuck no.

I'm so confused...

Anyhow, out of curiosity... Anyone play Path of Exile besides FissFiss? (And me.)

Slightly cheaper on Fanatical with the BLACK10 code ($13.22)

And slightly cheaper still at humble... shows 11.99 but that's likely with the monthly discount.

In other sales roku has their best streaming device for 50% off right now. It's about 62 bucks with tax and shipping.

Based upon my recent experience with one of the "Super" Mods I suspect this to be very, very true...

Biggest gaming news of the year....

Path of Exile 2

And all your stuff carries over...  I need to play this game more than I have.

https://www.pcgamer....-separate-game/

I'm sure Project XCloud probably doesn't help, either.

Stadia just keeps looking worse and worse as the launch gets closer.

And a lot of Stadia's features aren't even going to ship at launch...  Its going to be a complete clusterfuck.  There was actually a thread about the Division 2 and Stadia on reddit the other day.  Take a game with poorish netcode and add even more lag to it and it.  There's some really obvious/naive people running around as some see this as a legitimate option.

(Speaking of the Division I finally got my Merciless to drop the other day.  yay me!)

Maybe I'm wrong, but Steam never used to show demos and DLC in the Discovery Queue.  Now it's showing those...  It's even showing demos for games you own.

EDIT:
Well, I got a set of 12 demos and DLCs, but no more.  So maybe it was some weird glitch.

Discovery Queue? It's not steam sale season???

As an aside, I always cringe when developers dress like six-year-old kids and have the phrase 'personal spirit animal' in their vocabulary.

Why is this limited to just developers?

I find I've out grown Blizz.  And I fear I'm outgrowning Bethesda.  The crap I'm being shoveled by them has grown exponentially.  And the fact that as a paying consumer, they're just like... suck it.

I don't think it really has anything to with your age. Both those companies are no longer the companies of our young adult years.

Honestly, I feel for the young adults of this time... What developers do they really have to look forward too.

I wonder if that has to do with how sales are reported through Epic.  As far as I understand it it seems like Epic offers an advance on sales so that titles are guaranteed to move X amount of copies, essentially Epic buys a bunch of keys.  Then all these games report amazing initial sales, but if a portion of them aren't going to actual end users then tactics such as microtransactions don't show the numbers they are forecasting over time.

That's my understanding of how Epic does the payout too... The whole "Look, everyone is supporting us, we're amazing! Why don't you support us too?"

Anyhow, I don't really think the MTX "issues" has anything to with Epic... Its more of a everything is pretty fair and they're apparel events are poorly designed to promote key buying. (I've never had to even consider buying a key.)

And they're normal apparel items people have either spent their money already or are simply waiting for the item to come via free key.

Myself, when the game came out there was a few pieces I thought were key to how I wanted my character to look so I bypassed RNG and just got them... Some of those items I've gotten multiple times in caches now. Now I don't feel stupid for having bought them, I had them at hour 1 instead at hour 250, but there's no way I'm buying items at this point.

And, as others have said any change to how this system works is met with anger. They recently changed it so you didn't have to craft keys and you got fragments at every proficiency cache... The payout is still basically the same, but could be better or worse, BUT they also pulled numerous event items from the loot pool giving you a far better chance of getting new stuff.

I went from never getting anything new, like maybe once a week or more likely bi weekly, to get new stuff quite frequently...

Anyhow, people on reddit seem to think the new system sucks and Ubisoft/Massive is the devil for changing it.
