Here's a hypothetical for you guys: Let's pretend there's a guy who bought 10 Dark Pits from Best Buy.com. Should he help out people on here? When other people very seldom do anything to help others out.
While I said I wouldn't post again, I guess I'll make an exception here.
Back when I first joined CAG it was a lot more of a community and selling something for cost* wasn't just common, it was expected. Sadly those days are gone and the community is way too interested in profit. Every CE topic eventually devolves into the concept that XYZ may or may not be rare and said rarity means there is value. Maybe its just me, but I've been disgusted by some of these changes, though I've also accept the site I loved no longer exists and this is largely why I don't comment anymore.
Anyway, getting to my point. Ultimately be the change you want there to be. If everyone says "why should I do something when no one does anything?" you end up in this situation, but if everyone said "Hey! I'm going to help the community that has given me so much," we would have a better community. So the question becomes, do you wish to keep the status quo or do you want to try to have a positive impact on the community?
* Cost being the items MSRP + shipping + maybe a small fee for time.

No I was accused of stealing them. And defending myself against that makes me the goat
Not to beat a dead horse, but as near as I can tell, Chip commented on how you're in fact making something off it (be it a free bag of cheetos or $5 if you're just removing codes) and then you flew off the handle telling them off and then continued on with your martyr bit.
What you should of done is either ignored Chip or if you care about your online reputation so damn much that you want to prove your innocence to a casual suggestion you might have stolen the codes, you could have simply posted a picture of the receipt or the bags and instantly shut Chip up.

I feel so bad for the guy who posted the picture of the stickers. He probably is going to log on to see dozens of notifications and PMs. How annoying.
Why? People aren't bugging Kurosaki-San because they posted a picture of all the stickers, but because they outright stated they would be giving them away. One has to assume you will get a lot of replies / PMs when you offer free promotional DLC (saving people approximately $4.99) that various people simply can't find.

I was looking for $10,the bag cost me $5 , also my time looking for the codes because you can't find them,it was very difficult, and then the gas too. If you think guys that is too much sorry about that, didn't want to offend anybody.
You do realize you're asking 1/3rd or 1/4th of the games MSRP for a minor DLC code, right?

Not really. Ebay and Paypal fees are only 12% for most sellers on BINs and slightly lower for auctions. I'm not a reseller myself, but even at $240, there is a healthy chunk of profit to be made for people that have the risk tolerance for dealing with Ebay buyers. Looking at today's auctions and BINs, several PS4 Ghost versions have sold for around $300. Allowing $20 for shipping and $36 for Ebay fees and assuming a purchase price of $162 including tax for a high tax state, that's still a net profit of over $80.
There are several auctions that went for well under $300 and plenty in the $200 range that didn't sell at all. So even if some people got $300+, it's still a risk and one that might not be worth it. Especially since you still need to actually get it, get paid and have everything go smoothly for a mere $30+ dollar profit. Needless to say, there are cheaper / faster / easier ways to make $30+ dollars buying this collectors edition.
Finally and not that it matters, but ToonRN said it "would allow you to break even," which doesn't necessarily mean that you would only break even. Considering there are endless factors to consider, like taxes / getting the game / how much you actually got for it / etc, it makes sense to make a simpler "well, you still won't lose money at $240" statement than perhaps a more accurate "its still $30 in profit" like you want them to say.

Probably the best theory. Lol.
For the CN Elite rewards, I definitely agree that the choice of titles was puzzling at best. Then again, maybe these were games that were not selling so well in the US? I don't know.
Lol, just saw the MK8 CE, it only has a Spiky shell paperweight. Not even bonus DLC, a soundtrack, or even a fold-out poster? Weird.
Thats the one I agree with.
Wouldn't that be absurdly insulting if that was the case? Nintendo Worker #1 "So we have to award those chumps that bought our games and filled out those surveys." Nintendo Worker #2 "How about we offer them something that has absolutely no value, such as our lowest selling 3DS and Wii U games. Well except for The Wonderful 101, we don't want to make those fools think we're offering good games." NW #1 "I like this idea!"
I don't see whats so bad or weird about that. It was a neat collectible (would anyone complain about it being a CN reward?) and it doesn't devalue the game in question. While I can't speak for others, I am getting sick of companies trying to sell the "its not removed content, but actually special content you get for free," which is oddly similar to the sales pitch the "CN is free" people try to sell. In either case, the only thing I really respect about Nintendo at the moment is that they're not trying to make DLC a sales tool (more or less) and just give me a complete game.

I never quite understood why physical stuff was always NOT making it to the US...
There are a number of reasonable explanations...
1) NoA Club Nintendo is going about the program a different way from others. This is why we have this focus on digital, where as NoJ and NoE don't.
2) Many people cited that the NA market is fairly large, so it would be more costly to do items and they simply opt out due to budget.
3) NoA doesn't have a fucking clue. <- The one I believe is right.
Out of the three regions it seems like NoA tends to fall short of NoE and NoJ and I have to think it relates to them simply not getting their demographic. Like Europe gets a lot of cool preorder bonuses, so far Hyrule Musou has a CE in JP and EU, EU tends to have a better selection of games offered in their free games promotions, NoA thought it was a bright idea to bring the Mario Kart CE to NA and sell it at 1 location, etc. I also wouldn't be surprised if they're also going off incorrect or skewed data that suggests digital items are preferred among people, though even then it doesn't explain the titles we got for elite rewards. Out of them all, I can say I only see the logic in NES Remix and Earthbound, with the rest, save Game & Wario (cause this one feels like a reject from the MK promo), looking like a random hodgepodge of titles as if pulled from a hat.

Doubt anyone cares, but I would first like to thank SovereignNX-73811 and abbabaab for giving their 2 cents. I decided to go with NES Remix 1 simply because I am 99.99% sure I have to spend my eShop cash by December 31, 2014 due to how they resolved my problem and I don't want a single thing from the eShop and it simply doesn't make sense to spend even $15 out of pocket when I can spend money I don't value and redeem a free code for a game. Though I am still sad I won't get it physically. That box art... ;-;
Nice looking icons though.

There's a whole official thread for CEs. Get that flame shield up, OP!
1) Thats the wrong thread. There is ACTUALLY a CE deal thread, but that is quite possibly the stupidest idea for a super thread in the sites history.
2) While I'm not going to comment on the quality of deals, at least this thread offers something that one can consider a deal. This isn't like the normal "Square Enix announced a new collectors edition, click here for MSRP" that people complain about.
3) Thanks for at the very least trying Kazeno.

I did a search for the word "newegg", and no results for 3 pages. I say that makes it fine to let more people know...
1) You're full of shit.
2) The fact no one is bumping / looking at it indicates it's not a good deal above anything else.
3) Instead of basically posting a F U to me, you could have ignored me or better yet, just add me to your ignore list.
