#12457670 Amiibos Currently Available and for Pre-order. Wave 4 announced *Do not post...

I was successfully able to swap for a different one with a better paintjob because the one she handed me was chipped and had big splotches of paint in places the color didn't belong. He also made me sound like an asshole who was a vocal jerk and treated everyone like garbage. Yeah, I'm an asshole, but I was polite and friendly to everyone involved today.

The fact that I apparently got made fun of for actually caring about the quality of the item I'm spending my hard-earned money on is pretty shitty and does bother me a little.

But I don't really need to get into it any more.

FWIW, I'm obsessive-compulsive, and the quality is very important to me, too. I always feel like people don't get it when I like to pick through paint jobs, but I do it, anyway. Anyway, the point is, there are others like you. Don't feel bad. :)

nope no difference at all. You're expanding your wallet because instead of paying in cash you are paying in amiibos. Selling an amiibo for $50 and then buying a rare one for $50 is no different than trading that rare amiibo for another rare amiibo.

you are definitely paying reseller markups when you exchange a rare for a rare. If you weren't paying mark ups then you would be able to trade a common for a rare.

All a matter of opinion. I don't think doing either is "scummy". I don't typically flip stuff, but I get it.

I'd be disappointed by the PM'ing of links to pre-orders and all of that. Not only is it doomed to fail, as others have said (come on, if people don't get it from CAG, they'll find it elsewhere), how are you going to legitimately separate the good people from the supposedly "evil" people? I'm a longtime CAG (at least relative to some of these jokers), but I don't post a whole lot anymore. Particularly in threads like this, where it's a $h!t-slinging contest. Am I worthy enough?

Also: how does anyone really know how many people are hoarding these things? I know there's a few vocal trolls, but other than that? I want to believe a lot of disappointed people are just being crybabies and/or ridiculously paranoid. Last I checked, there was like 150 MM 3DSes on eBay. That's honestly not that many, and only a handful of those probably came from someone who knows anything about CAG, I'd imagine. Of course, it's all speculative, like so much other nonsense in here.

Found a Wii Fit Trainer at a Target tonight! Didn't have it out, but I asked them to scan the things, they did, and they managed to find a WFT in back! No luck on Martha or Villager, but something is better than nothing!

#12133196 Windows Phone & Windows 8 Deal Thread

Posted by PlayableMoogle on 02 October 2014 - 11:37 AM

Hopefully with the release of Windows 10 Microsoft starts taking Windows Phone more seriously. It sounds like they're coming together the grand vision they have for their platforms I just hope when Windows Phone 10 releases they take the platform more seriously because right now it's still disappointing marketing, and support wise.

It isn't entirely a matter of how seriously Microsoft takes WP. In fact, 8.1 has been a TREMENDOUS leap forward in terms of what you can do with WP, and required a ton of effort.

The problem is getting a wider consumer base. You'll see more third-party stuff, at least, if/when there is a larger paying consumer base. Right now, the numbers aren't always there to justify porting products to Windows Phone in terms of ROA.

Of course, the merge of Windows and Windows Phone more completely should theoretically help. You get more bang for your development buck, right? And there will hopefully be apps for one platform or the other (Windows OR Windows Phone) that decide to take the plunge and leverage these new changes to get their app(s) on both for (hopefully) a relatively-low cost.

We'll see. I'm optimistic that with the changes they've made (these universal apps, the nicer, cheaper phones), they can draw some of the Android/iOS users away to Windows to get a larger share of the market, and make the whole platform more appealing by doing so.

<troll>FACT: The best DS of all time is the DS Lite. Brighter, bigger screen, but the last that could utilize the immense library of GBA games (in physical form). </troll>

Now someone trade me Jak and Daxter for the Vita, please!

#11592930 Zelda Wii U Bundle $98.71 @ Sams Club(YMMV)

Posted by PlayableMoogle on 08 March 2014 - 06:05 PM

Leavinhope, I apologize that I'm late to the party, but for the Zelda Wii U bundle, you're listing any that are on sale or a discounted price across all of the clubs in the nation - is that right? Or only the ones people specifically ask about?

Thanks!l

Lucky, my library hasn't added any recent games in quite some time when they used to be decent. :-(

I was going to wait on it for a while but when we were at BBY tonight my 3 year old was playing it and for the first time she was actually managing to coordinate between walking and jumping at the same time.  Then she jumped into this waterfall in the first level that you slide down and squealed in delight.  So now I have to get it.

That is sound logic. My daughter is two, and I operate in a similar fashion. She has the enthusiastically-hug-it-if-you-want-to-bring-it-home-from-the-store routine figured out, I think.
