Xbox Showcase is officially happening July 23rd
A bit early to confirm a date if you ask me.
Especially this year.

FYI for everyone cashing out their MS reward points to preorder the XSX:
If you split the payment of your preorder between your MS balance and a debit/credit card your balance isn't charged until the XSX ships, so basically your balance would expire.
If you have the full price including tax covered with your account balance then it charges immediately.

It's so strange that the company fighting an uphill battle for sales has decided to wait until far after everything else is over to show what will decide their future. You already see people here becoming uinterested, and I'm sure far fewer people will watch in what is usually consider "the dead season of gaming". They also better hope that Ghost of Tsushima isn't that good, because if so, they better actually have some stuff to show or the jokes will come. What's next, theyll say that the main conference is at 8a.m./9a.m.PT? LOL. Why they didn't show their main stuff at the show in May or even have a show in June is wack.
Also, where is Kiwami 2? Werent all three supposed to be in the first half of the year? I'd expect them to eventually bring all of them over before the series X launch since Yakuza 7 is a launch title. And yes, I know the games aren't related, but it wouldn't make sense regardless if they didn't.
I'd rather Xbox take their time and put a great show together than rush out just to counter Sony's presentation.
When Xbox was dropping blog posts and info on the Series X Sony bided their time.

I will venture this question here for what should be the most intelligent group: after seeing the ps5 does anyone think from a consumer standpoint that the Xbox isn’t going to be enough to set it apart or really drum up launch sales?
I am definitely someone who may be late to upgrade, but I feel like the console design of the Xbox one (not sure the right name) is bland, the name is confusing, and it’s more like a PC upgrade, good specs under the hood but it looks like any CPU tower. Thoughts?
I guess I don’t have a vested interest in like Microsoft stock I’m just kind of surprised there’s been so little wow to me personally.
Too early to tell but if you only care about which console will outsell the other then just get a PS5.
The Series X is the more powerful console and it will probably price match the PS5 disc version.
Game Pass and MS Rewards is a far superior value compared to anything else in gaming.
My entire Xbox One library will play on the Series X day one (Sony has not been as transparent on BC as Xbox but I'm sure their 1st party games will all run on the PS5 at least).
My Xbox One accessories and controllers will all work on the Series X as well.
Most of Xbox's marketing of the Series X has been catered to existing Xbox owners for the most part since why would a PS4-only owner care about Xbox One BC or Xbox accessories being forward compatible.
All that being said Playstation is a more popular brand globally (and is sold in more countries) so I expect it to outsell the XSX even if the Xbox July show is as great as I think it will be.

RIP Microsoft Stores.
Didn't go to mine THAT often, but they had some solid deals from time to time. That and it's always nice to get in-person customer service for electronics.
I wonder how Apple can afford stores while MS can't.
MS only has Surface tablets and Xbox for the most part.

Damn. Im gonna have to pre-order the series x at bestbuy then. I was hoping I could use my points, but with no more stores I can go to bestbuy in NH and not pay taxes
The digital MS Store will still exist so you can preorder it there.
I'm not sure you could ever use MS Reward points at a physical MS Store anyway as the points are tied to your MS Account.

I passed my 30 week streak on the Xbox Rewards App today. I can't believe that it's been over half a year since I got my Xbox One X, it feels like only yesterday that I finally got one.
You might actually be the only person who feels the last half a year has flown by.

Some of the prices for others regions on games don't make sense.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Deluxe Edition - $8.74 - 75% off
Sounds good, was thinking it might be under $20 in Australia but no. $27.48, was $109.95 lol. Not everything is this bad but there is a lot that are.
Also, Lego Harry Potter is not even on sale in Australia.
Currently playing Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun before it leaves gamepass, but now considering buying it on sale as not sure if I will finish before it leaves.
Might also be a good idea to hold off on purchases for a few days, as we should hear what next months games with gold is soon. Have they ever made a game games with gold while on sale?
Recently I think Shantae Pirate's Curse was on sale before it became one of the GwG this month.

Did you really just compare people that stream themselves playing video games to Tom Brady and Beyoncé? Both of whom have actual talent and bust their asses off in their respective fields. Yikes. That’s a bad take.
...And streamers don't?
That's an even worst take.
I don't watch streamers but a lot of people try and fail to make a career out of being a streamer/content creator.
Since not everyone can succeed at it that shows that it does require some talent.

867 day ms reward streak and the last answer on this or that won’t complete for me, already contacted support but apparently they only fix issues with the streaks one time as a courtesy and I already used that in March when my streak reset even though I completed it smh.
Try completing it through mobile or PC which ever one wasn't giving you trouble.

I'm testing out a few Microsoft-published games that are on Game Pass to decide if I want to spend $5 on them as a part of the current sale since they might disappear from Game Pass at some point.
I've been trying to play Ori and the Blind Forest this evening, but the prologue is tedious as hell. Can anyone explain why this game is so beloved by the gaming public? The art and the animation are nice, but I'm already bored. The last time that I had that feeling was when I played Old Man's Journey. Also, does Ori and the Blind Forest have any replay value?
MS games don't leave Game Pass.

Xbox just needs to show the console already, they were planning to during e3 this year, and now are waiting on Sony? Have some balls already Microsoft and show the thing lol.
What you talking about?
The Series X was shown months ago.
Xbox also revealed the Series X specs before the PS5's were shown.
Hell Digital Foundry was even flown out and they took one apart and put it back together.
