Playing Haven before it leaves Game Pass and the game is so...awkward. The combat system feels it could've benefited allot more if it was an actual turn based combat not weird active'ish kinda turn based. Also the dialogue can get so fucking cringe. I'm not going to lie, I'm a man of culture, but some of the dialogue where it's them dirty talking to each other (you're playing as hot young teenage couple by the way) sounds on par with you being in a room when a family member are dirty talking each other and you want to leave...like immediately. Like there's a scene where they're playing an RPG and the dialogue gets stupid sexual and I kept thinking "Who the is this for???"

The dialogue doesn't get better.

Now I have a question about Bing lol so I signed up for the auto redeem does that usually hit right away on the first of the month? So then I have time to buy Control Ultimate (probably leaving Game pass) before end of sale?

The past few months it has hit early morning on the 1st, but sometimes it has been a day or two late.

The Halo campaign previews have me optimistic.

Sucks co-op isn't coming until May 2022 at the earliest though.

Got through the first round and flamed out.

I was aiming for the top 500 for the $35 Xbox Gear GC and managed that.

I screwed up in the Xbox 360 round and got some easy questions wrong.

Cannot complain with top 500 though.

Good to see teams and cities that haven't had a championship team in decades break through.

12 Minutes was a trippy game.

I'd recommend playing through blind.

I was able to solve all the major plot points without guide (Only looked on TA to mop up all the achievements).

Rolled a base 67 armor piece with 30 intellect and 24 recovery lol.

That's not a correct analogy. The more appropriate one would be if you asked for an opinion on a game and are told, "It takes a while to get going. You need to play a dozen hours before the game gets good." Would you consider that a good game? For me, I would balk in most of those scenarios and play something else. Why would I slog through any part of a game when I can just play something I know I'll like?

What analogy did I make?

I quoted you and called the flaw of Game Pass you brought up "weird", then posed a question back to you with regards to lost time.

You make it seem like Game Pass subscribers must spend hours trying games in GP to determine if they like it or not and that is time they lose out on.

However what is stopping GP members from just spending the same amount of time researching games on GP before trying them like gamers research retail games before buying them?

I feel that way about most Game Pass games. "At least I didn't have to pay for it." It took me too long to realize, but if it's a game I really want to play, I won't mind paying for it. Kind of wish I can refund my 3 years of GPU, but I doubt I'll get $150 back. That money would have gone a long way towards games I actually wanted to play and now I just end up wasting time in checking out new games I'm usually not interested in.

Even though I used MS Rewards for the 3 years of Gold I converted to GPU so technically didn't pay for it, I could easily justify $150 for the 80 some odd Game Pass games I played through over the years.

The Ascent also crashes a lot for me.

Fortunately it seems like the game auto saves every 30 seconds.

There is a new weird punch card up for 5000 points on the MS Rewards app on the Dashboard. It's the "Summer Spotlight Sale". Was looking to see if you could double dip with the qualifying products from the 4000 point Ultimate Game Sale, but this list is very small and looks like it will change week to week. Maybe somewhat interesting though is it also has pre-orders and movie rentals and purchases. Lasts through September 6th. They have Death's Door this week, which I just bought a few days ago...nice. Maybe something like Hades will show up since I'll probably just flat out buy that one even with GamePass.
