Alright, pretty sure there aren't any new sales coming for the 3DS shop closing.

 

Picked up all the Fire Emblem Fates DLC (Conquest, Revelations, Map Pack 1 & 2).

Picked up Fantasy LIfe & Layton/Wright.

 

Still on the fence on Kid Icarus.  I've heard almost nothing but good things, but I've also heard the control scheme is awful.  Plus there continue to be rumors about it coming to the Switch.

Kid Icarus uprising is fantastic, and will hopefully be even better on switch with new controls, but this is still just a rumor.  It’s one of the best 3DS games and most iconic of the system.  Id get it for that regardless of switch rumors, as the 3d effects add a lot to the flying sections.  Even if you end up with two copies, the 3DS release would still have some advantages.  Tough spot though, I’ll be glad to have played it on both systems if that is how it works out, which should be the case, but I’d hate to miss out on it if it doesn’t.

I found this review of the new super Mario 2 DLC https://www.destruct...rio-bros-2-dlc/.  Sounds ok, if it truly is the first DLC ever released for a first party Nintendo game I may want to own it just because of that.  I probably boycotted it because of that back in the day, but the floodgates are open at this point, and Nintendo hasn’t been terrible about it yet.

On another note, a few people have mentioned having more codes to give out.  If there is still an affordable space adventures floating around I’d be interested.  Thanks.

Chances of Super Mario 3D All-Stars getting a limited digital re-release to tie in with Mario movie? Lots of switches have been sold since it was delisted.

 

I have it physically but would like to own digitally since I made the jump over to digital only.

Diofield Chronicles for $35. What’s square Enix track record on price drops. Should I wait? Just started Engage so it’ll be months before I get to it.

I can’t think of anything SE that hasn’t gotten to at least 60-70% off eventually, of their standard us retail releases.  Switch tax still remains in effect, but I think most of their switch releases usually get fairly cheap too?  I haven’t put a lot of thought or research into this, but that’s my impression.

Let’s all keep in mind this is an argument between two grown high earning men about the expected rarity of a Harry Potter video game that comes with a floating magic wand.

Not gonna lie; this stuff is difficult for me to look at (in a good way), both as a gamer and someone who grew up poor.

Always good to just keep in mind that the world is filled with people both with more money and stuff than you and much more needy and poor than you.  There are countless hardships or positive things that can happen in anyone’s life at any moment that far outweigh any pile of games.  And if you are experiencing gamer envy, the person that gets more enjoyment and growth out of what they have wins over the person that has more but gains or learns nothing from it and is just chasing trends.  That’s what’s it’s about, otherwise it’s just a collection of plastic or an ill advised financial investment. I imagine with that big a collection the poster may be in game sales?  If you are buying and selling and searching for deals to offset the cost, its not necessarily about money as much as it is time and effort put into a hobby.  Just straight out buying that much at MSRP without offsetting the cost in anyway would be a lot, but it’s all relative.

I would think Doug or Josh can make the team do whatever it necessary to make the customer happy. Especially if it was acknowledged they changed the description after you purchased the bundle. 

Yeah, customer support’s initial response was “After reviewing the bundles product page I can see where that may be a little confusion. I want to say that it does include a standard version of the game along with the Collector Editions version”.  So even they took the initial description as stating the bundle included stand alone game plus CE.  They acknowledged that the description was changed and now read differently, but could do nothing to address that but cancel the order if I wanted.  I’ve gone ahead and requested the whole order be cancelled, if it’s my only option, even though I do still at least want the CE at retail price.

Like I said, this was my first bundle, but they have been doing these for years right?  You’d think it would be routine by now how to state when the standard copy of the game is included in CE or an extra stand alone component of the bundle.  And they do understand the difference since the terminology was changed after the fact.

Not really something a company founder needs to get involved with, but it is a crappy situation on multiple levels, and I’d be interested to know their take on it.  If they truly are trying to address and rectify issues caused by their companies own mistakes or just dismiss them as a general course overall.

Already mentioned the fact that when valis collection 1 was released, that weeks mega bundle clearly had separate line items as: valis CE, valis stand-alone copy for switch, valis lp, and dead age.  Noticed months later the description was changed to state the separate line item for valis switch was now (included in CE).  I never would have bought the bundle if it was just everything at msrp, I didn’t understand that’s how they generally worked at the time.  First I ever bought.  Customer service confirmed they would not be honoring the original listing description at time of purchase, not too surprising given other situations people have described, what I find worse though, is that they say they cannot cancel the other bundle contents to just leave me with the CE in my order, the only portion I really wanted at msrp.

They confirmed the listing description did change after the fact.  I’m not asking for any concessions or demanding they honor what their listing said I was buying like most legitimate retailers would be expected to, but refusing or being unable to simple cancel the extra items in the bundle I didn’t want at msrp, and only bought because of a misleading description is surprisingly crappy.  I do still want the CE, which I would have bought on its own, but too late for that now apparently.  They say it’s sold out, even though I already have a copy reserved in the bundle I bought which should be mine or freed up whether I canceled or kept that part of the order.  Is this truly something the company can’t handle?

Right?  $90, for a legit GOTY CE.  Actually includes the game, steelbook, metal coin trinkets from in game, statue, Artbook, cloth map.  It’s only fault may be that the included soundtrack is digital, and it’s a mini artbook.  Still, all that, in a nice CE box, for $30 more.  For a great game that will probably not get much other merchandise anytime soon.  Takes me back to the days of working design’s CEs.

Where did I imply it was a competition with other CAGs?  I get one sealed used Xbox One game from Gamestop and I guess it was all downhill from there because of it.  Yeah, totally balances out. 

Back on topic.  I so would like that Simpsons Arcade if only I had the space for it and money for it.

My initial post is agreeing with you, that the type of things that have been mentioned so far are not really spoilers.  I and the original posters also agreed that it’s better to just hide them though if multiple people are requesting it.  Just pointing out, that even if it’s just a joke, your post is probably inadvertently a worse “spoiler” than anything else so far, and basically mentions the same vague concepts that have already been spoiler tagged.  

Yeah, just found the potential symbolism and analogy amusing.  If it’s modeled after Barf in the game, that’s one thing.  If it’s just some generic gag store stuff that’s been sitting unsold, that LRG decided to throw in the box, that would be a new low.  It probably is a new low anyway, but even more so.
