I see it all the time in forum boards - you know, when people debate what it is that makes a good game. So I raise the question to you CAGs: What element in a video game makes it good or is most important?

Jump on DS3 like defpally suggests, especially while you're still hungry for this style of game. From a CAG perspective, I bet DOOM's price will drop sooner than DS3's will.
It wasn't so much the gameplay I enjoyed as much as it was the atmosphere. The fantasy adventure a la Elder Scrolls or Lord of the Rings that Dark Souls has doesn't interest me the same way as Bloodborne's Gothic, Victorian London horror theme

I stopped by Gamestop while finishing some Mother's Day shopping and this one location has nailed the issue. Instead of individual cards issued to the store by Nintendo, they have a barcode that they scan and a code gets printed on a receipt. They only gave me one, so hit me up if you want it

That Collectors Edition was stupid. Who actually wanted a model replica of a grappling hook? Games these days always have models of something and charge astronomically high prices for them. Unless it's something really cool, CE should be similar to Infamous SS, Bloodborne, Gears of War 2, etc where it might have a steelcase, art book, DLC, or other small stuff rather than stupid statues. Alot of the Statues like the Ass Cred, Infamous 2, Uncharted, etc are cool, but not every collectors edition needs one that drives the price up to $150 for it.

Before anyone mentions it, I know there is a Family Video Thread, but it doesn't get updated very often and a lone post might be looked over by most.
I was at FV today and they have the games listed in the title at $19.99. I've bought multiple games from FV and they are always in great shape despite being used by God knows how many people beforehand. YMMV, but the location on 14 + Hayes in Warren, MI had multiple copies of each for sale.

Real question, if you back a kickstarter and nothing is ever delivered you don't get that money back, right?
Correct. If you gave a kickstarter campaign $10,000 and the game never sees the light of day, you're out $10,000. Take solace in knowing the developers had a hell of a weekend in Vegas on your dime.

Ok, so 2 decent games. Between the XB1 and 360, there have been probably 50 free worthwhile games in 2015 for GWG alone. Between the PS3 and PS4, what, maybe 10 for a similarly priced PS+? I remember back in 2012, 2013, and 2014 (on the PS3 at least), we were getting quality games back to back like Bioshock Infinite, Demon's Souls, Metro Last Light, Borderlands 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Infamous 2, etc but once the PS4 dropped and had success, Sony was like "fuck it"
