Are we seeing octopath get any lower than 40? I'm on the fence about biting.
Its coming to Steam in June, so I guess its POSSIBLE it could mean a lower price physically at some point, but who knows.

Has anyone done the 4 for $20 in store today? I really don't want to make a trip to GS today if it's not going on since I might be going back tomorrow for the Spring Sale.
I visited a store, got 8 games for $32. Definitely still going on!
Unfortunately the one Prestige store in my area closed down due to the rent being too high. No B2G1 here

It's the 60gb launch model. While doing research earlier, I did come upon pages where people wrote about using a hairdryer or sticking it the oven, but I'm looking for more of a permanent fix. I still have a huge library of PS1, PS2 and PS3 games to play... :(
I had my BC PS3 die a long time ago. You're going to have to let it go. Buy a brand new super slim, it should last you another 10 years or more. That way you can play PS1+PS3 games. Then pick up a used PS2 dirt cheap somewhere, its the only economical option at this point. To buy another used BC PS3 is just throwing away money this far into their lifespans.

tempting to get odyssey but gamestop is having the normal for 27 lol.
True, but the Season Pass goes for $40 so its still a $13 discount on that. The season pass comes with 2 remastered games as well. So for another 27 you get the DLC and 2 free games, plus a Steelbook. So all that might be worth it for some people.

So I bought a couple of retro games last week and notice they're doing a B2G1 today. My original idea was to repurchase as B2G1 and then return the first order but it's saying I'm over my purchase limit.
Anyone know if I can take the receipt for the order I already placed in store and have them make an adjustment to make the third game free? I'd call CS, but they're almost always useless when I talk to them.
If the retro flash sale is online only, which I suspect it is, the items won't ring up as B2G1 in store. If the promo isn't in the system, they would have to manually price down one of the items to free which is pretty unlikely unless you gut a really chill clerk, because would mean a hit to their store. Otherwise you can normally return and re-buy online orders in store just fine. I've done it for the 4for20 in store only sales.

Difference SKUs. This is vanilla version. Gold edition had season pass included.
No they had a deal on the standard edition for $20 that had the season pass code print out on the receipt. I have had luck with Price Adjustments in the past, just depends on the employee you get.

Welp...this was a bust. I went to Best Buy to pick up the copy I price matched with Walmart's sale and the disc was completely loose inside the case and scratched so I immediately returned it because they didn't have any more in stock. I guess I wasn't meant to play No Man's Sky.

I know what return fraud is....and this ain’t it
But it doesn’t make what he’s doing any less wrong
This is definitely fraudulent, as you are buying merchandise without the intent to keep it. Not only that but this is costing GS money, as they are certainly paying something for those codes that get printed out. This falls very close to typical receipt fraud, where people use a fake or altered receipt to receive more money than they payed. In this situation you are being similarly enriched, just without doctoring a receipt, to the detriment of Gamestop. Proving that you knowingly are committing fraud is probably close to impossible, so criminal charges aren't likely. But that doesn't change the fact that it's fraud.
Not all return fraud is necessarily illegal by state statutes. Wardrobe fraud is a common example where people buy clothes, wear them once, and return them the next day. It's technically within the stores return policy to allow for returns in these situations, but they are being hurt as now they have a piece of used merchandise that they can no longer sell as new. Even this kind of return fraud is being cracked down on in some states. So the idea that stealing a Season Pass code can't be return fraud is just not true.

See, I would have raised a stink and called them out for the fact that like you said their other store wanted to sell you a gutted copy as new and his store has the balls to inspect your return for 5 minutes.
Are you seriously advocating that in the midst of committing return fraud, that he start a fight with the employee who probably just thinks it's weird that he is returning a game he bought 10 minutes ago at another Gamestop? Even if you're cool what he's doing, drawing attention to himself would just be stupid.

I think being elite in the next 2-3 years is going to be a big target on your back for a JD if you're into flipping at all. I already get the comment "wow you're elite pro?!" All the time from employees.
The turnover rate is so high at most locations that in 3 months chances are the employees will have never heard of Elite Plus
