Could be worse, I had a GameStop employee threaten to call the police because I said “really, your opening that? it’s factory sealed. Never had that done before /laugh/ you don’t trust me very much”. “I don’t have to do a return, would you rather I call the police and have you escorted out of my store?” “Are you joking?” “No, get out of my store”. Seriously, that was how the exchange went. Later found out she was lying when referring to herself as the store manager. I do generally have good experience with GameStop employees in store, so think that was just a fluke. Started doing more of their online pre-owned sales since, and had a bunch of returns from that which went fine. Reading your comment, just felt like posting my own. I doubt even Walmart could top that, was really embarrassing.
Walmart opens all electronics regardless if it appears new. The contents must be verified to match what was to originally come with it and that serials match the product purchased. Does no one remember years back when there was a kid that got a DS with pornography on it Christmas morning?
Or the kid that got a bunch of rocks with chinese newspaper clippings?
