Gray only, FYI. Neon still OOS.
Yes, which is...why I put "grey JoyCon" in the thread title.

Really you wanna nitpick about what type currency type? I look at it as free as in no money came out of my pockets, bank account, credit card, change under the couch, or change jar.
Points earn with purchases and surveys that netted me my purchase that I didn't have to pay for. Go bother CAG who are cancelling their buy 2 get 1 free order so they can scam the system.

Anybody starting to have second thoughts on the Nintendo Switch? Lot's of disappointment so far, according to different sources.

Yep. I don't think there's anyone rational out there who isn't disappointed. I'm only buying it because I'm a sucker for anything Nintendo, but I've ZERO doubt this thing is a flop in the long run, - even the short run.

You cant get instant credit.
He's referring to once they receive it, they'll appraise it then give you credit if it passes.
The credit will show up in your account within 5 buisness days.
It's impossible for them to send you the credit without actually receiving the item first for appraisal.
No, that's incorrect. I've received instant credit for trade-ins before. Yes, they give you the credit immediately when you make the trade-in on your account, but will charge the credit card you have on file if they don't receive the item within the regular time period. It's random for me, though, and haven't seen that option for a while now at trade-in.
Either way, my policy is also never to do the instant trade-in.

Yeah I ended up getting the one you suggested instead. Getting it in addition to a game and movie for the same price as my original choice is worth the risk of it crashing. I would still have the old 500 GB as a backup at least. Thanks.
Good man! I just picked up another for my PS4 Pro, along with Dark Souls 3 and a $20 Nintendo eshop card. Took off $21.50 but that's just fine with me! $95 for the lot including our outrageous Seattle sales tax. Win!

Yeah but that voids the warranty. I have coupon that makes the drive $98 and then with the $25 for the Visa Rewards I am paying $8 more for peace of mind.
If the drive dies, put it back in the enclosure? I've had mine in my PS4 for a long time now.

Man, really debating just getting my money back instead of exchanging. I am pretty happy with my X1 and wont get much use out of this until the 2017 games come out. I think I really wanted it just to see 4K gaming when I get my 4K tv at the end of the month.
I'm really enjoying gaming at 4K, upscaled etc or not. It really makes a huge difference. But it's not for everyone, of course. I'd say at least exchange the unit first and see how you feel with your new TV.

The PS4 Pro is one frustrating machine. I have 2 of them (don't judge), and my friend has two (again, don't judge). They all vary in terms of fan noise, and the coil whine issue is there on all four of them. If you want to test if yours has coil whine, just fire up Infamous: First Light. Even on the title screen you can hear the high-pitched squeal if you're sensitive to it. There is no coil whine, though in other titles - Resogun, Battlefield 1 etc. So it seems like it's greatly dependent on HOW the system is being tested.
In terms of fan noise, interestingly, Battlefield 1 doesn't send the fan up very fast (much quieter than my launch unit), but again this will depend GREATLY on what you're playing. Within about 60 seconds of starting Infamous: First Light, the fan is hauling ass, and that's on all 4 units I've tested (my two, and my buddy's two). On the plus side, at least the fan noise in Infamous masks the bloody annoying coil whine.
In terms of performance and resolution, the difference is really obvious on some of the supported titles. e.g. The Last of Us looks REALLY sharp on a 4K TV. Beautiful. Uncharted looks a great deal sharper (though strangely soft compared to The Last of Us, but either way a big improvement over the original PS4).
Thumper looks beautiful in 4K, - so sharp, and so does Rez. Neither game cried out for 4K, but it's nice to have it.
Battlefield 1 runs at a higher res (something around 1700p) and the frame-rate sticks closer to 60fps at all times, which is nice.
I'm not a fan of the "new" controller. The light is annoying enough, and now it faces you as well. Thanks, Sony, not. Also, the mismatch of grey analog sticks and buttons vs the black finish of the controller is just ugly. Lastly, the analog sticks just aren't as good as the launch-controller sticks (them falling apart notwithstanding) when pressing them in for R3/L3. They kind of... grind into place. Not a fan (that's all 4 controllers I've tested - behaving similarly). Unless you like the light on the trackpad shining through, and the new color/USB-ability of the controller, stick with the launch controllers which are on sale often these days.
On a side-note, the power and eject buttons are probably the worst designed buttons in the history of buttons. They're probably even worse than the launch PS4 "buttons." Just...hopeless.

OK so why did nobody tell me that Rez can be played with the Move controller?! O M G. It's like this game was so ahead of its time - it's basically 10 billion times better than awesome with VR + Move Controller. It's so natural...
SCREW ALL OF YOU. Going back for more Rez. Not leaving VR till the batteries die in the Move controllers.
And with the weather here in Seattle the next couple of days, I'll play VR till the power goes out.

Thanks WilliamG. It shows up as $20 under the store right?
Not yet. Nobody can buy it yet on the PSN Store. Just lets me add it to my wishlist.
On a sidenote, if you guys haven't bought it yet, Thumper is AMAZEBALLS! I don't have my PSVR yet, of course, but boy is this game freaking awesome without VR. Crank your sound up and sit close to your TV and it will literally blow your mind (literally). If you guys liked Frequency or Amplitude, - or hell - just like good rhythm games with perfect 60fps, this game is the mammaries. I can't imagine how insane it will be when my get VR set up on Thursday.
Videos can't possibly do this title any justice. DO IT NOW. DO NOT THINK. CLICK BUY.

Solid post friend.
I'm pretty positive the steelbook will house both game cases. I don't see Nintendo spending the time and money to make special inserts to hold the cartridge only. Way cheaper just to throw the two game cases in there.
Look at the damn picture (click on it!). There's no way it's holding both game cases INSIDEthe Steelcase. You can see it holds the manual and two cartridges side by side. The question is whether it comes with the game cases taped to the Steelcase so you have both options.
