I wonder how the Core group will fit in with rewards. Will the Play X Game or Do Things in X Game weekly objectives require them to contain it to the 25 (or more) available?

I tried Star Wars Squadrons because it's Star Wars Day and it's part of a punch card (if it works). This might not be for me. I keep getting lost trying to find enemy fighters. Left stick left / right rotates the cockpits while right stick changes view. Can't tell from radar whether enemies are above or below. Had it set on the Pilot difficulty (second lowest). I think a 3rd person, behind ship view would work better for me, but that's not available.

After getting the Series S, there are some 360 games I wanted to pick up and most of them are on sale. RDR1 is one of the few which is both one X enhanced and completely trapped on console. The Series S may have limited storage but as a compact backwards compatibility machine, I'm very fond of it.

At least 360 games aren't massive like they became the following generation. I actually miss not getting 360 games from Gold because we could keep them. Some still look and play well, and because Microsoft really kept the effort going with backwards compatibility, and even enhancing games, there is something amazing about not losing prior consoles or content.

Also, keeping progress in the cloud, even with Xbox Originals, is great to make older games neat to come back to. No dusting off a memory card, finding space for a random console, blah, blah, blah.

Having a digital library that has carried forward and kept progression really has prevented me from going to another system. The S doing all this in a compact size is what sold me on it over the X (and the price).

Saying Shadows of the Empire is more fun than Fallen Order is a heavy case of nostalgia goggles. The gameplay in that does NOT hold up now even compared to other old Star Wars games like Podracer or Dark Forces.

But can you play as a Wampa in Fallen Order?

Apologies for breaking up the merger talk. I have some older HDTVs I’m looking to sell. They’re sitting around unused and I’m clearing things out. What are some options in order to get it done? It’s the first time I’m attempting to sell such items.

Craigslist hasn't been useful for my area (I live in a major city). It's too littered with bots. My brother says Facebook Marketplace is the best one to use now.

My mom used an App called Offer Up when she was helping a friend move and they were able to clear out furniture and tools in about 2 days. But people who came definitely wanted to debate the price, so you might want to ask higher to be able to lower your price to what you both want.

I'm actually slightly interested, except it's from Hyperkin and not an official MS product.

Would be even cooler if they made it compatible with 360 also.

I am more interested in the hope of it working with the 360, too. Especially with the 360 using USB ports, this should be a thing that was considered.

There has to be people still using the 360 that would consider buying replacement controllers that could be used across 3 generations.

Did A1U ever patch Whitewater? I remember that being unplayable for a while.

It's been patched, but I still find it not fun. The layout blocks too much of the upper screen to follow the ball.

I've watched the Youtube reviews, but I'm still torn. Anyone here have any firsthand experience with these?

I bought Attack From Mars for my mom as a surprise.  She always played that game when we'd go to the arcades when I was a kid.

 

The thing has a great look if you're looking for a somewhat legitimate looking machine.  Attack From Mars and Medieval Madness play really well.  The other 8 games...not so much.  Tales of Arabian Nights and the Fishing game are okay.  The others suffer from the screen perspective and not really being great games.  They just pad the numbers to 10. 

 

Considering the cost of a real machine. I was okay just expecting 2 of them to be fun.  The machine was a huge hit with my mom, and other family members really like it as well.

 

I did have a few issues.  The G-Sensor did not work right.  That controls the 'push' movement, allowing for shaking the machine or Tilting it as well.  The Z-Axis was always in random motion, and doing the diagnostic check, it would randomly spike, which would cause the game to Tilt Lock, and you would lose your ball.  I opened the machine and disabled it.  While doing that, I noticed one of my solenoids did not work.  There's 4 of them, but a back one was not firing.  

 

I contacted Arcade1Up, and after a few e-mails, they sent me the replacement parts for free, and quickly.  

 

My mom really likes it.  As a gamer, the 720p screen has never bothered me.  Also, the standard glass has never been an issue either.  Online, many people complain the plexiglass makes it impossible to see the screen well, that the horizontal lines ruin the game.  I've put in many hours of play against my mom when I see her, and neither of us have had that issue.

 

I would consider buying another one of these if they made another real pinball deck like Attack From Mars.  

 

I would also recommend it if you're looking to add some neat addition to a game room or play space.  I got it for my mom because during the pandemic she made a neat bar in her basement, and it looks great with it.  It definitely can be costly, and people note that you can get more tables for a PC, with better resolution and pricing, but for the novelty, I really like it.

If this is their reasoning, why not just literally put the Series S or X as an actual Microsoft Rewards, uh, reward. Make it the 450,000 reward credits for the X or 270,000 for the S and be done with the issue. Adjust it per user region and pricing, but this solves the issue in one way.

Couldn't a similar solution be done with Microsoft Credit Money? How is a software company so unequipped to handle their own currency program?
