So I finally got a reservation to the Wolvesmouth dinner party in LA. Pretty hard since it's limited and lottery. At the end it's BOYB and basically pay what you want. Pretty fun since you get to talk with the chef and watch them do their magic in an apartment.

I got coal rolled on yesterday by an F350.  There were two left turning lanes and this guy was already in the left lane.  I got on the right lane since I was taking the right exit after the turn.  The light turns green, and we both proceed to make the left.  Naturally, the guy is in front of me since he was on the inside lane but then decides to take up both lanes and spews a crap load of black smoke on me.  It freaked out my wife, but I just kept going since I had read about these db's before.  

 

Anyway, he takes the right exit I was also taking and takes off like a bat out of hell on the highway.  I catch up to him at the next exit since there is a line of cars taking the on ramp we are both taking.  After getting on the next highway, he stays in the right lane going slow, I pass him in the middle lane and luckily he didn't do anything else.

 

I have no idea what I did to piss him off.  I'd heard of them doing that on a Prius, but on a Touareg?

Attended the V corral at the Long Beach Grand Prix this weekend. My first outing to a live motorsports event as a spectator. It's amazing how awesome the indycars sound live. Never experienced that before.

Anyway, I've never seen so many V's or V wagons in my life (8+) in one place.




And as a bonus Cadillac dominated the World Challenge.

Took my Wagon on the track this weekend for the first time. Pretty damn fun but scary. Spun out on the dirt once. Used up a whole tank of gas by the end of the day and improved my time from 1:40 to 1:35. not bad for a first track day on a course not well suited for the heavy car (Streets of Willow)

Kind of, return window is within 30 days for a full refund. After tax it's like $1630

Ran into too many issues with it for me to justify keeping it. Was an interesting ride though. Kind of got sick of getting stopped everywhere I go to explain what the device is. Some people may enjoy it, but I found it got in the way and old really quickly.

Got a last final week up north visiting parents and shooting.

The segment definetly has legs and true potential. For example the translation app that overlays english from portugese/spanish/italian.

Very beta but shows what it's capable of in real time.

Signed up for an invite on the site. Picked it up today. If you get an invite and live close enough to one of the pickup points I recommend going over it with a glass guide.


It's definitely not worth the price for most people but It's very very interesting to see the potential especially with some of the applications are there. I feel like it's definitely the path for the future of portable device accessories.

biggest shortfall is the battery life currently so I'm planning on getting a portable charge device to run a little extra juice into it. Second one is making sure I have a solid mobile internet connection thanks to sprint's crappy network.
