Sorry that new versions of the same games Microsoft has been releasing for the past 10 years didn’t do it for me. Not really sweating it though, with Game Pass I can just let them sit there while I play things on PC and PS5. Some of it was impressive, but nothing grabbed my attention.

Hi - not really responding to you directly, but your point resonated with me.  I feel like as each year goes on, it takes more and more to impress me.  Part of it might be me getting older and having played more games, but part of it is also my personality... I like new stuff.

At this point I'm all Battlefield-ed and Halo-ed out.  I've spent thousands of hours in those games and are not excited for them at all.  Will I play them?  Sure.  But I'm not excited for them.  Like, I'll drink water each day, but I don't wake up excited at the thought of "F yeah I get to drink water today."

Sure, there were new IPs shown off today.  However, if Game Pass didn't exist, none of those got me excited enough to say I would buy them day one for $60.  None of them had anything super exciting or innovative that grabbed me.

The only trailer that I even remember is The Outer Worlds 2 and that's because it was such an amazing idea for a teaser.  If anyone hasn't seen it yet, I highly recommend it.  Worth it!

Guess I'll buy OlliOlli for only 99 cents. Cheaper then a McChicken.

Guess I'll get OlliOlli, I can spare a dollar without whining about it later.

Guess we know one of the free GWG for next month...  ;)

Definitely might be a waste of time if you waste 10+ hours just trying to 100% the really quick shitty games with easy GS. But if you use it as motivation to play through some backlog games, it's actually quite nice.

This speaks to me.  There are so many games I want to play from GPU and Games with Gold that whenever these 10k challenges come up, I use the opportunity to go through my backlog/wishlist since a lot give easy achievements in the beginning.

This prompted me to start Dungeon of the Endless, and even after going through the tutorial I'm still not 100% how the game works.  Like, when you've explored all the rooms and are ready to move to the next floor, you go back to the first room and interact with your crystal.  This starts the final waves of enemies.  Do I try to move through the dungeon with the crystal and try to survive or do I just weather the waves of enemies and they eventually stop?

You have to pick up the crystal and move it to the exit, and all players have to be in the exit room to progress to the next level.  I usually plan out my exit path and, kind of like in a tower defense game, place items along those paths that will slow down or take out enemies as you are moving.  Each character has different movement speeds, so sometimes it helps to have the fastest character pick up the crystal.

Once I understood the mechanics, I thought the game was very addicting.  Have fun!

I must be the only one who isn’t loving Journey to a Savage Planet. I love the concept, the humor and aesthetics but I find myself getting stuck on parts here or there and turning it off. First there were some dinosaur looking things you had to shoot their tails while the bulldozed you. Then there was a lava cave I couldn’t blow up a wall in. I thought I would really enjoy it after watching some streamers play it when it first came out.

My friend and I couldn't finish this.  Aside from getting stuck a few times, after a few levels, we got the hang of it and felt like we had enough.  It reminded us a bit of the first Assassin's Creed game in terms of the overall repetitive structure.  Go to a new level, find the entrance to next level, oops you can't get through unless you unlock new ability, do things to get new ability, go to next level, repeat.  The humor was definitely nice, just not enough to keep us playing.  We did enjoy what we played though.  There just wasn't enough to entice us to keep going.
