What the is this shit? Seriously, what the is this shit? This is not the Mortal Kombat layout. Look at how the attack buttons are angled. Look at how smooshed the layout is. You look at it! This is not how Mortal Kombat is supposed to look.
And why in the hell are the attack buttons angled that way? That's a US Virtua Fighter player 1 side level of retardation. It might be even more pants on head retarded than the Vewlix layout, and everybody knows how much that layout brings my piss to a boil!
Mad Catz is a hack. The worst part of it is how today's Street Fighter 4 fratboy kiddies are going to eat it up like the next big thing because it's from Mad Catz, and they were never around for the arcade 90s to know any better.
Do you know what I see when I see that Mad Catz layout?
I see Cleveland Jr. Short, fat, and much more dumb than he is smart.
And for all you Cleveland Jr. wannabes out there, here's my guide to not making a joystick laout.
I heard Husky Harris has been playing with this layout ever since Randy Orton punted him on Raw a few weeks ago.

I thought I read someone in this thread talking about some alternate sword controls? I don't care for the "bump" system. I've looked in the manual and in the options, and I don't know how to switch it.
There are no alternate sword controls in the PSP version. The alternate controls are in the DS version, but they make absolutely no sense and are completely useless. The DS port is just bad all around. Avoid it.

Damn, the Rock's promo was fucking killer. 10 minutes of awesome.
It should have been via The Rock being in the ring talking to the crowd in person. Having The Rock talk via satellite just cheapened what he had to say two weeks ago when he was there in person. Sure, it was a good promo, but I wasn't feeling The Rock's commitment.

Before I go any further, have you played the game before recently?
I played a couple matches of VPW2 a couple days ago, but before that, I haven't played any of those AKI wrestling games in at least a year. I lived, ate, and breathed AKI wrestling games starting with Revenge in 1998 all the way through No Mercy in 2000, though.
