#14266557 The Home Arcade Tremendous Deals and Discussion Thread

2 people can only play comfortably on the NBA jam cabinet and that is only if they are on opposite teams with an empty player between them.  2 people on the same team isn't even possible unless you are like 10.

Look at the video here lol.

#14055141 PS Vita Deals & Discussions Thread

Posted by Carlanga on 19 September 2018 - 03:23 PM

This PS1 classic should have been a PSTV shaped like a PS1 console with the inclusion of 20 PS1 games. They would have been helping support the mostly dead console and using perfectly capable, existing hardware. While offering features like bluetooth, Vita games and expandability. Missed opportunity.

IMO it is a modified pstv, probably with soldered memory where games reside and a modified vitaOS.  The vita is close to end of life, too many issues plus you need to try to lock down the mini so that publishers of one of the 20 games take your deal.

From the best buy site, more accurate picture for scale:

my neck!  IMO the riser needs to be double the size.  With the riser it looks like it will be a good height for stools though.

Looks like it's all over. Was a fun/sad thread to follow. I'll see you guys in a couple years in the Best Buy closing thread.

Best buy has turned around so i doubt it will fail in 5 years, at the minimum 10.  You could say Kmart/Sears but those don't sell gaming stuff anymore.

Went on Sunday for one last time and there was a truck outside loading everything left.  The staff told me it was all gone, store is closed for good, the guy bought the stuff that was left.  Was only interested in seeing if I could get the big yoda and the rick and morty plushes, but oh well, can't complain I got a few things the other two times I went.  Just sad that there is no toy store around me anymore :(

Just $2.20 plus whatever it cost to ship and any tip.

This person is da bomb for real!!  We chatted a few days ago and today I received 6 sets from him for this amount each + ship+ tip!  He packaged them extra well and even sent me emails w/ the tracking slip and everything.  IMO he went above and beyond, reminds me of the old days CAGs use to help each other get deals like this for a fair price.  In short, he is awesome and a great guy!!  Thanks again!! :)

or

So basically, TRU's version of the GCU discount.  Could be useful for games that aren't sold at Best Buy anymore.

or basically GCU's version of TRU discount promo, because you know they did this type of deal before GCU existed. :P

#13844084 SNES Classic Discussion Thread

Posted by Carlanga on 01 October 2017 - 12:35 AM

I was thinking the same thing, and only 49 viewers. Even the O F F I C I A L thread in the deals section isn't that frantic. Maybe Puerto Rico was the main source of interest back for the NES. What, too soon?

Hey that hurts. I was ready to go early and buy one on release day here in PR, but stupid Irma then Maria had to come and destroy everything. Since I live in the metro area next to main offices of cell companiesi have at least good enough cell signal, and water. Other non essential things like gaming are secondary. Hope once things stabilize I can get one to at least play in xmas. Might need to ask a friend to buy me one in the states and send it to me in a few months. I was adamant I would not miss my chance of getting a snes since I couldn't get a nes but nature is nature. Maria did a lotttt of damage here in PR, a lot of people are suffering a lot outside metro areas, many have lost everything and others have no water, food, electricity, cell signal and more; remember everyone in the island is a US ciizen and more than 350K of them are veterans. Metro is chaotic but much better than the rest of the island so I would please ask to keep bothering your gov representatives to keep helping in this devastation.

#13618537 Walmart YMMV In Store Clearance Thread I (READ THE FAQs)

Posted by Carlanga on 02 February 2017 - 06:07 PM

Yes, there's no physical copy inside (the cover clearly states that), but no, the voucher is not expired. I had no problem redeeming mine and neither did others who got some of my extra copies. If anyone finds a $5 Minecraft at your Walmart, don't let this guy discourage you from buying it.

You also used to get the ps3 version for free as well (crossbuy) so I'm guess that is something that might still be available.

#13614463 Lego Dimensions Deals and Discussion Thread

Posted by Carlanga on 29 January 2017 - 07:43 PM

I am a total newbie when it comes to Lego Dimensions. I had no intention of buying it given its high price tag, but I just couldn't resist when Amazon dropped the price of the starter pack to $29.99. I just recieved it last week and I was just curious, where are the best places to buy expansion packs and what sort of prices are normal for such packs. I might just wind up sticking with just the starter pack game, but if the starter packs are a decent price I would definitely be willing to buy a few. I just have no idea where the best places to buy them are and what sort of pricing I am looking at for such packs. Any info on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

look up top lmao come on now

Ah, fiddlesticks ... I wouldn't have stalked the Walmart listing and went with the purchase if I knew the return/rebuy was YMMV. I remember it being mentioned by others on here but I avoid YMMV deals when possible. Thanks for confirming for me.
