Already blew my May 2023 $5 in store on a Pokemon Shield + Expansion Pass that I found in the wild used for $49.99. Copied my code but it is not working on anything in cart. Hoping that it will clear up in the next few days but if not, not too much love lost. Once the double dip stopped working on currency, I struggle to find something relatively cheap to use the code on.

Grabbed a Used Midnight Suns PS5 for $25.19 with the 10% off for Pros & stacked a Capital One 24% Rewards on top for $6.04 back in rewards. Used my PlayStation Credit Card and sent in the Bonus Form through the Sony Rewards app to get 5% back in points on top. Even though my days of flipping and trading have sailed a bit, still finding some ways to save.

Used it to grab a Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max. With the headset already being on sale, I was able to get it for $115.27 after discounts and Red Card. Love that it has Bluetooth Audio mixed in and can be used on everything.

Price Matched to get the EPOS GSX 300 Sound Card for 50% off the website clearance price of $27.48 (In store price was $30...50% off of $60). The clerk input the price match to the $27.48 and the POS added the 50% off immediately. Planning on using the External Sound Card with my PC and PS5 

The problem is, even if everything is completely and totally above board and you have all of the documentation, an IRS audit is still an IRS audit.

 

It's basic risk/reward analysis in my mind. Risk is a composite of probability and impact. Probability of an audit is low, but an audit would be a pain in the ass. Reward is reduction of clutter and maybe a few hundred in profit if stuff I have appreciated since I bought it. If I were in more dire straits trying to offload things I can see it making sense, but as it stands I'm reluctant (especially considering what a PITA it is to sell things online to begin with these days).

Just make sure the income is properly reported when you file with the cost of the initial item plus any extra costs involved (auction fees, shipping etc.). If the income is significant enough, the IRS will send you a CP-2000 from their Underreporter Department (they basically compare what's reported to them on W-2s and 1099s versus what you list on the return). Unless you have sales in the thousands of dollars, I doubt they would go all the way for a full Examination Audit. I have been dealing with the IRS for 30+ years in my occupation so I definitely wouldn't stress thinking that you'll get hit for a possible audit for some random auction sales.

Last, but not least, the statute of limitations is three years from either the initial due date (or if you requested one), the extended due date for any additional tax to be assessed by the IRS due to an audit. Same rules apply for a taxpayer trying to amend their tax return & getting an additional refund.

Even with the lack of birthday coupons, there are still some codes that have been working for 10% off any non-clearance or non-sale items. 

AUG23MOVERS, which I'm assuming is from the USPS Movers Guide, has been usable for preorders and other items for 10%. I try it even with clearance or sale items just in case it might apply.

Tonight, my usual Target was out of the Steam $50 cards, so I grabbed 6 $20 cards instead. To my surprise, there was a limit of 5 per transaction. However, instead of Buy 1 Get the Second for 15% off, the remaining four cards all rung up with the 15% off price ($18.50 each). Add the Red Card savings of 5% on the total and I wound up getting $100 in Steam Credit for $89.19

Might be worth it for anyone out there saving for a pending Steam Deck preorder to save a little by loading things up a bit

 

Actually just got this e-mail yesterday and it says that I have a $10 bonus certificate, but all I'm getting is a "We're Sorry

I had the same issue & noticed that the e-mail address didn't match up my current Best Buy account info (it was sent to a prior e-mail address that I had an account on). I would recommend that you register and post your issue on the Best Buy Forums. I posted and am currently working with a mod through Private Message on getting the certificate on my current account & also cleaning up any of my old residual accounts as well.

I have a larger than convenient head (size 8 fitted hats are iffy and snap backs are a no go) and I love the wireless headset. Battery life is still good since release, pairing to Xbox and phone at the same time means having a podcast on doesn’t lose all game audio… mic quality is good according to party members. Spinning left ear cup adjusts party/game balance. Strong recommend

Xbox Wireless Headset is a good time. I use my SteelSeries Arctis 7X's more, but the dual functionality of having Bluetooth and Game Audio plus mic is great. The pleather ear cups made my ears sweat after a while, but the clamping force is not bad (I wear a 8 1/4 sized fitted baseball cap dealing a gigantic noggin' as well). I went ahead and picked up a pair of replacement cushions with cooling gel from Brainwavz that worked out great. The sound paired up with either Dolby Atmos or DTS Headphone X is recommended...
