This has been going on for several years. Dead Space 3 comes to mind and I'm sure there were a few before that.

For collector's with a backlog or who aren't sold on the game, it makes a lot of sense. You can get the extras now and buy the game at a discount when it's discounted later. Most people justify the price of a CE/LE by factoring in a $59.99 game and let's face it, games decrease in value very very quickly

^ Did someone photoshop the price they paid to best buy to justify charging more on eBay? They were supposed to be $250 right? Not $329.99

what do you mean by blacklist? i ordered... a few... but i also have multiple pre-orders of games with them so i doubt they'd do anything. and im elite

Blacklist like you won't be able to place orders online... they will go through and then you will get an e-mail stating your billing information couldn't be verified and the order will be cancelled despite your information being correct.

There are lots of accounts of this happening on the BB forums. They won't confirm the reasons behind the blacklist they will just tell you to go in store from now on and then after a set period of time the black list will fall off. Happens when you routinely bypass quantity restrictions and I don't think they care about your Elite status.

Not trying to scare anyone, I'm sure it doesn't happen if you do it once or twice but it does and has happened to people.

Edit: Gamestop does this too... and amazon does it as well if you use multiple accounts... except Amazon has a "scorched earth" policy where you are permanently blacklisted if you ignore their warnings to stop.

Damn I missed Best Buy. I should have checked right when I turned on my PC. Hopefully they are just changing it to one per order now. Does BB stock go in out and for preorders or is it more like Amazon where it's one shot?

When I got my order in, an hour ago, it was one per order. Of course you can make multiple orders, but best buy also black lists accounts for regularly doing that to bypass order restrictions. I can't imagine it's fun not being able to shop on bestbuy.com so buyer beward
