Dead Rising 1 thoughts...

I don't necessarily regret buying it but I prefer Dead Rising 2 OTR in that it still keeps the challenge with timers but you have much better ways to deal with zombies like combo weapons (I was kind of surprised combo weapons weren't a thing in DR1).  Without combo weapons DR1 tends to get boring in that you're almost always carrying around a katana or baseball bat as other weapons tend to be crap.  And in your first playthrough you have to write off quite a few of the survivors/side quests because you simply don't have the time to cut through hordes of zombies to do everything.  I'll probably rush to complete story mode so I can unlock infinite mode and play around a bit.  It is nice to be in a slightly different setting/mall, although there are a lot of stores that are flat out useless and don't have anything that resembles a decent weapon in them.

Verdict: Buy if you're a big fan of the series, avoid if you are a casual fan and already have DR2/DR2 OTR.  I'd rank DR2 OTR>DR3 (played in nightmare mode)>DR2=DR1.  DR4 = ??? but people say it's awful.  I'll let you know when it's sub $15.

Mine shipped, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with this thing. I don't have a use for it

Probably going to bite on DR1 for $8.  Don't feel like waiting another year to save $3.  Could be a bundle candidate but for some reason I think that's also unlikely in the next year or so.

I'm going to guess:

1) Shitty game 1.

2) Shitty game 2.

Dead Rising bundle on Steam...  $8 to buy DR1 solo but $16 to complete the bundle when I already own DR 2 and DR 3.

Agents of Mayhem currently has a rating of 68 on opencritic.  Alot of negative reviews on steam mention optimization issues which can be solved with drivers.  Some like the humor while others do not.  Most tend to agree that currently it is overpriced.  In other words, nothing we did not already know.

I'd expect it to crash rapidly in price like its spiritual predecessors the Saints Row games.

Guys, do I buy a PS3 so I can get this sweet deal on years-old multi-bundled games?!?!?

I'll happily buy No Man's Sky... as a headliner in the Humble Monthly. It is a perfect example of a $20 indie game that makes a big splash at these cheesy video game awards/expos, gets backed by a mega-publisher, has nothing added to it except hype and a bigger marketing budget, and somehow that boosts the price to $60.

A game like Rebel Galaxy knew its limits and the two guys behind it (the talented Travis Baldree and Eric Schaefer) sold it for $20.  They didn't go to EA and beg them to stick their logo on it so it would somehow then be a $60 AAA uber-title.

Then you missed out on one of the best multiplayer experiences of '16-'17 with Overwatch for $30-48.

The shipped has sailed on the Division.  You also missed the entire lifespan of Destiny 1.   Finally, you're about to completely miss out on the Destiny 2 PC experience if you want to be cheap.  I know that you are somewhat interested in some of these games too.

You want to be cheap?  That's you're prerogative.  But it's nothing to brag about.  I'm not playing PUBG while it's new, but I do enjoy living vicariously through the interesting posts of other people who do.

If those games 'died' already to the extent someone missed good multiplayer experiences in only a year or so then those games weren't very good in the first place (excluding Destiny 1 because of the sequel).

It's very much a multiplayer experience.  You can play solo but you'll eventually hit a wall as you advance in difficulties.  It's also not particularly fun playing solo, either.  Not sure if things have changed between KF1 and KF2, but the KF1 community was miles friendlier than similar communities like Left4Dead, etc.

Not wow'ed by the bonuses.  KF2 for $12 is something I'll seriously consider.  I'm sure it'll be another year before it hits $5.

I'll grab Witcher 3 around $10.  I enjoyed 1 but there was a lot about 2 I didn't like (some had to do with the switch to a new engine) including the combat (which usually kills any interest in a game for me especially when it's a combat oriented arpg) and pseudo-Diablo loot/craft system.  Never finished it.
