The first question is if you want to play DD with Patch.  If so, you need 5 purple, making 5/3/5 and 5/5/3 the main options.

I actually started at 5/5/3, shifted to 5/3/5 as an experiment, then came back when I really missed that maxed Billy Club.  Especially after dropping a Berzerker Rage, stunning a non-goon for 2 turns can be priceless.

Personally I like him at 3/5/5 for the occasional Sentry Bomb.  Not as deadly as it was a couple months ago, but still handy to get past a tough PvE node sometimes.

Eventually I'll definitely go 5 purple - either 4/4/5, or 3/5/5 is apparently a nice black battery for XF or BP.

For now, all I can say is my lev131 5/5/2 Doom is still plenty of fun with Patch.    B^)

Doesn't necessarily need to be maxed, but consider putting some iso into Doom.   With his passive keeping all the purples covered, I really think he's become Patch's best friend (with DD and Loki as alternates).  Nothing beats a string of carefree Berzerker rages followed with a Diabolical Plot.

No matter what, you can't do worse than this guy last month:

Yeah, aside from the slim chance of winning some hp in the taco lottery, the DQ clearly doesn't solve the problem of roster spots rising to ridiculous prices as people collect the biweekly character releases.

For the veteran who needs 1350hp to add a slot, a tiny chance at an occasionall 250/1000 doesn't mean much.

The obvious solution is to cap the roster slot price, but every single Q&A has failed to acknowledge that as a possibility.

tl;dr:  To their knowledge, all game issues are solved by DP DQ.

Anyone seen tigger?  According to the daily bonus, he hasn't been around in two days.  Also, do we have someone for our 20th spot?

Not sure on Tigger, but Edd just came back to fill the spot.

Personally, I think Spidey has a great set of abilities for Survival nodes.   Defense tiles, periodic healing, and the occasional stun is just what the doctor ordered, especially paired with Hulk & Steve.

maybe its the harder PVE this time that i turning me off or  how much you have to play to keep up in your teams.  thinking of dropping out of the team im in now  top 20 PVE and top 250 PVP is sort of hard to keep up

I'd agree that this event seems to be scaled to be more difficult than the other recent events.

On the whole, it seems like the game is really stressing you out and it's probably worth going a little more casual for a while. If you do the daily quests, you'll get a 3* a day and anything else will be gravy.

CAGvengers ended at like 2500 haha it was terrible. Since you all left at once noone is staying because they see we arent even close to a full alliance and then dips. Oh well. My minimal effort still scored me two Luke Cage covers... and the kicker was I ended up putting in about an hour and a half of gameplay with the event and still got ~#30 overall!! Mwahaha

Hahah Clearly I should not be in a high scoring Alliance anymore with my tactics : PP

I assume Luke is powered up in this Hulk event, what other 3 stars are boosted? I have a good chunk of ISO and I am trying to figure out who to give it to. I probably will just pump it back into Colossus as I have been if I don't need to level up any of the boosted ones.

The good news is, both alliance got the same 50hp and some iso pocket change.  Add in a few more randoms, and Cagvengers will be at least top500 in no time.

Powered up for Hulk:  Luke, Pun, R&G, OBW, Johnny, 2Cap

Personally, I'm a hoarder like gravel, and I like where that took me in the game.

My basic approach:

  * keep all 3*s, and all 1-2*s that are currently useful

  * put all hp into slots

  * pour ISO into everyone when it's cheap

  * don't bother maxing anyone

The result:

  * I think the game scales down because noone is maxed

  * I have 22 chars over level 100, plus a pool of maxed 1-2*s

  * Especially for easier PvE nodes and things like Balance of Power, I've got a million combinations to experiment with.  Steve/MNM/Spiderman is totally usable for lots of nodes.

The fact is, bad 3*s will eventually get fixed.  If I'd thrown away my Loki, Doom, or Xforce when they were useless, I'd be starting them from scratch now.

It's a good thing when a game is deep enough that there are multiple good strategies.

FYI, shield hopping is being clubbed to death:

Not that I ever planned to hop, but an 8hr wait after using a shield seems like overkill.

Also Hint: "The Law of Inverse Ninja Strength.

That smells of Elektra's release and a story involving the Hand (a clan of ninjas). They have history with Daredevil and Wolverine, so that fits with those guys having been reworked.

For what it's worth:

   http://uncyclopedia....wiki/Ninja/Laws

tl;dr - The more ninjas you fight, the weaker each ninja must be.  4 ninja turtles > infinite Foot ninjas

So... maybe it'll be a stamina competition to see how many weakling goons you can take down before falling to the infinite ninja mob?

(note to self:  create band named Infinite Ninja Mob)
