It wasn't bad enough that Best Buy changed the trade in value on Doom, but I wasted at least an hour there last night. When I was trying to trade in my games the GCU wouldn't apply to my account, at all. The rep called multiple people in the store over to help and also called two people at a corporate number who both couldn't help nor did they know the benefits of GCU. One guy claimed it expired in June even though I just used it Tuesday and as I stated earlier (and showed her the activation email) it doesn't expire until April 2017. She then decided to try to just activate a new GCU on my account and give it to me for free. Waited 15 minutes and never got an email confirmation and it still wasn't applying the bonus.
So finally after an hour with no resolution I said just manually ring up a gift card for the extra 10% trade in that wasn't registering and I'll contact customer service to try to get my bonus points since who knows if they'll be applied. I'm also now afraid I'll have to jump through hoops to get my account linked back up with GCU.
Has anyone had this happen to them and have any recommendations how to handle this?
