#14374493 Groupees: [NEW] Build a Greenlight Bundle 33 + Oktoberfest + MiniBundle 7

Posted by waabulo on 30 January 2021 - 09:24 PM

The tinywaves bundle - I think you are better off just going through bandcamp.  You might could say that on several of the bundles.  I guess, for e, I appreciate Groupees bundles as some of the music bundles are groups that I would not have found otherwise.  I will acknowledge and agree with Blade's December 31st post.  You can find as good of, if not better, quality and/or value by searching through Bandcamp yourself.  I admit that I am paying Groupees at this point to be a curator of music bundles.

@Blade - thank you for posting the cheap list of digital record label discographies and bundles, I appreciate that you took time and did that.

On a side note - doubtful that I will ever spend my "coins".

Steam phoned it in for this Winter Sale.  The cards for the Winter Badge / Steam Game Awards are the same from last time.  Too many hoops to go through and still have to spend $30 non Steam credit money to get a $5 coupon - really?!  Yes, EGS has better deals on games that they list.  You could say the same for last year and possibly the year before with respect to Humble and GMG as well beating Steam price wise without silly gimmicks.   The only positive that I can think of off hand regarding the daily Steam is that Steam is offering to help people understand more about the features Steam has, which is way more than EGS (for instance).  On a side note, if you do not want the Epic launcher, just look at the Ubi games for sale - great deals to be had and once you link your Epic and Ubi/Uplay accounts and the initial sett up, you can run it just under Uplay.

Having said the above, there are still good deals with buying through Steam such as complete your collection type sales and Steam basically has most of the games on sale.

Paying for "choice" what we used to pay for top tier weekly bundles.

I will echo the same sentiment about Shadow of the Tomb Raider being a nice game to get but silly with no DLC.  However, not including DLC on such a game is nothing new for Humble or Square.

I am really hoping that Humble is still going to have some weekly bundles.

EA and Epic for instance could have a bundle each.

fantastic price on Pillars of Eternity.  The lowest that the White Marsh Pass has been is just under $12.  I had bought the vanilla version a while ago hoping that the Expansion pass would go cheaper, now it is better to buy this instead.  OST is a nice bonus.  The Novella was also supposed to be good.  Nice find MysterD!

I will give credit where is it due;  Blizzard makes great cinematics from Diablo.  The trailer that I saw on youtube looked more dark and from I have read that is the direction the devs wanted.  The gameplay trailer was ok, but considering that the game is not ready to be released for another 2 years, I will just wait and see.

PC Gamer - Some info on the Diablo IV game:

Notes:
- No offline mode for D4
- D4 has a shared open world (which is MMO-like)
- You can play the game solo, but not offline.

- The game's a long while off from being finished (it's not "Blizzard soon").

D3 requried online.  D2 was the last Diablo game that you could play offline.  Path of Exile and other games should hopefully really push Acti-Bliz to put real effort into making a great game for Diablo 4 and not come out with Diablo 3.6 in essence.  Having played more hours in the series that I care to admit to, I love the game but Diablo 4 would have to be more inventive for me to really care.

Considering that they had a decent amount of time with the pre-sale of Borderlands 3,  they could have easily had a beta test or stress test or whatever to see what kind of bugs were present at the time.  Consoles are going to be different than PC as XBOX and PS4 should have univerisal performance with the same hardware/software.  PC is a whole different story.  Different GPUs, CPUs, drivers etc.  Still, testing with a larger pool i.e. the people that bought pre-sale could have reported before the release and they could have fixed some bugs before release.

Am I missing any, or is this seriously the last game bundle we've gotten other than the repeat Playstation bundle from last week?

You are correct.  Unless you count the build your own 2k bundle (I don't) then Tiny Build bundle has been the last PC game bundle.  Prior to that was the Lego bundle.  I was disappointed as I thought with the Steam sale ending that Humble would put out a bundle.  The bundle next week will be Epic!
