after reading your question for few times i was so confused and curious. so i messed around with steam and origin clients and managed to get the cd key from steam and redeem it on origin. i never knew about this. sry for redeeming the origin code. truth is the origin version is the one i want most. not the steam version. coz i had dead space 1 and 3 on origin. with this now i have the complete dead space collection. wish i could give you the steam version...

Re: fake codes dropping - I have dropped fake codes before, just so that the first person who responded stating the the code didn't work would get the real code.  I used it as a way to combat ungrateful lurkers.  I think this is a fair and viable method.  I would suggest not restricting such action.

Has anyone tried to redeem these EA game codes on Steam as well? @Zizi mentioned that they could be redeemed on both Steam and Origin.

Sorry for not been clear earlier. EA game purchased on Steam can be redeemed again on Origin, just right click the game and choose 'View CD Key', use that key to redeem again on Origin. But Origin key can not be redeemed on Steam. (Sim CIty 4 was Origin key, so no Steam)

So pretty much if you buy an EA game on Steam, you get two copies, one for Steam and another for Origin, you can give your second key to another person to play on Origin. EA way to get people to use Origin.

OMG I am still ahead of this ban spread, I accessed my account in my school, changed the password, then reported hacked, they froze my account, helping me to get my account "back". OMG thank you so much, I got the steam version, and then purchased the Pure Time Trial on Origin thinking it will work for steam version, which turned out it doesn't. Now I can finally play the DLC.
