Can someone please help me figure out an ongoing issue I'm having?
Earlier this month, I purchased a game from gamefly (Diablo for PS4) that was clearly marked 'free shipping'. Other games are not marked 'free shipping'. I am not a member.
I was charged shipping. I have been ordering from gamefly for -years- (never a member) and always check their lists for 'free shipping' offers (since those are usually sales or daily sales) and have never had to pay shipping.
GF support is telling me only members get free shipping even if it's marked free shipping. Honestly, maybe I'm an idiot, but like I said I've probably bought 40-50 games from them over the years and have never paid shipping, always waiting for it to say 'free shipping'.
Am I wrong? Are they wrong? It's only $3 but I'm getting aggravated at their customer service and need to know if I'm in the wrong. That said, if I am wrong, I don't understand why it shows free shipping for so many games when I'm not a member... seems wrong. But... I've always bought those, and never paid shipping before, so I have to believe I'm in the right here.
EDIT -- as a test, i just tried to buy a game currently marked 'free shipping'. And I am not being charged shipping. So why was I charged for Diablo, and why are their CS treating me like I'm trying to scam them or something?
Are you sure the used copy was free shipping? I know sometimes when you try to filter by free shipping, some games have free shipping on new copies only, but not used ones.
