#13223075 BestBuy/Amazon 20% Off 2 or More Pre-Orders [FEB 16-18 Only]

Yup, I just bought it for about $20-$22 off the eShop. It's $14.99 in the US.

$50 should be the normal price for them. $75 each is insane.

Amazon changed the price for Project x Zone 2 to $49.99 as well. Still hasn't updated my order though. I guess I'll call customer support again in the morning.

Mighty 9 is already discounted + 30% = WIN!

$34.99 is actually the normal price for the physical copy. Surprised it took Amazon this long to discount it, considering other retailers like EBGames had it at that price for awhile.

Here's a google spreadsheet showing which games are available and which games are not YET available (because amazon's slow at adding them)

>Legend of Legacy not  included.

Ugh. I wanted to add this with Stella Glow.

They say no limited editions but I can apply it just fine on the "Onechanbara Z2 Chaos Banana Split Edition" and "Senran Kagura 2 Deep Crimson Double D Edition" :)

Most likely because they don't say "Limited Edition" in the title? I don't know lol.

EBGames has it for the same price.

The old ones will still be available. Nintendo is just releasing another branch of the Amiibos of these characters.

Better idea, just make more of each figure. Retailers should just take steps to stop scalpers. Limit 1 per costumer, etc. Cancelling peoples pre-orders is a bit extreme though. Especially those who don't actually plan to resell later on, are going to lose out honestly.

#11649900 EB Games raising the prices of certain new releases by 5 dollars

Exactly why I'm really annoyed at this. Now I know in about 6 months I could get it for 30 on PSN if even 6 months but I want a physical copy.

You're welcome.

Welp, unsurprisingly that was untrue. Just wandered into EB and picked up my FFX HD that I pre-ordered last summer, and was charged $45. I didn't notice when checking out, so I guess I'll return it.

Good thing FS gave me the LE for $26 :)

It wasn't untrue. I got my Lightning Returns for $59.99. Go back and ask about it.

#11616685 Sony increased PS4 MSRP to $449. Will This change your mind?

Don't sell it. There will be games later on that will come out you'll have an interest in, and then you'll regret selling it.

Off topic: I just had to comment on this, I've so been there (haven't we all?) Haha, you're up late reading a blog and feel the need to comment. As you're typing you know you could be making more sense but in the end you give up and your tired brain says "fuck it, Post!" I've writen some wacky sounding stuff in this zone myself, potentially up to a 5th of my posts on Kotaku I would estimate :P

I say we still wait and see what happens with this. I called 2 more EBs, and none knew what would happen. So, maybe what Ranzo said earlier is still in effect, just that the higher ups haven't notified them of it.

Let's just wait for an official confirmation from EB themselves.

IIRC Ranzo is an EB store manager. So yes, great news.

I'd like to know if this means any game pre-ordered during their original prices, or if they're fully paid.

Well I'll be damned :/ I maintain my point that there's enough reasons to steer clear of EB as a general rule, if they don't price protect their pre-orders (is that true!?) then there's yet another one for ya :P (or for me at least)

I was wondering the same thing. My gut tells me this past one was the last :( Luckily I pre-ordered the hell out of pretty much any game I even thought I might want, but I know I'll be sad not to be able to do it again this year if that ends up being the case. I've been preparing to build a PC sometime this year or next. If console gaming gets that much more expensive this year, it'll just act as an added incentive. Btw, is it just me or is BB not even offering 10$ Reward Certificates with pre-order games anymore either?

BB and FS definitely do, from the BB pre-order faq:

"Pre-Order Guarantee. Our Pre-Order Guarantee ensures that if the price of an item you pre-ordered drops before it ships, you will automatically be charged the lower price. It also ensures that if you pre-ordered your item at $49.99 and the price rises to $59.99, you still only pay $49.99."

I don't know about EB though, but locking down a price with FS/BB will work. And if you're doing so online you can cancel anytime before the order starts the shipping process. So yea if someone's nervous about a price increase, that's not a bad option.

I honestly don't see why people keep singling out EBGames as a terrible store, Best Buy/Futureshop/etc are all just as bad. At least EBGames offers niche titles, and when you pre-order those titles they're guaranteed to have them on release. I've gone numerous times with Best Buy/Futureshop, and they usually don't have the game, or I'd have to wait an extra week or so.
