It's a lose lose situation this generation.

One of the reasons I have gone all digital on PS4 and Xbox 1, (still physical switch) is because most AAA discs are coasters on day one since most games have huge day one patches this generation. Nothing worse then having the disc and still have to download some crazy multi gig patch.

I see having the disc as useless if you don't have the game installed on a hard drive with all the patches installed.

So even if you have the disc in 20 years if you don't have the game on a hard drive with all the patches, you will most likely have a broken game.

I think having the game on a hard drive with the patches more valuable then having the disc, since games don't play off the disc this generation.

Is there anyway to have just the patches downloaded, without having to have the entire game installed?

I have an external 2 TB drive plus my internal 1TB drive. But I also have 72 physical games and there is no way I can keep all of those games installed on a permanent basis. If I could just have the patches downloaded, that would suite me fine.

I'm not going to lie, this sale hurts. It hurts a lot.

Mostly because everything I wanted, I bought when it was WAY more expensive. There are some all-time lows here.

I should still be able to get away with a cart full, but as usual I'm hungry for a 20% off code to motivate my purchase.

This seems to be something that always happens to you. But then again it happens to most of us here.

Personally I debate everytime a game goes on sale as well and worry it will be cheaper in the next few months. Just depends on how bad I want the game. I held off on Celeste for $11.99 recently. I think it will be lower soon.

Gonna pick up Steamword Dig 2 and possibly Thimbleweed Park. Debating about Spider-man DLC for the reasons stated above.

Alienation's SP is mainly for people that want to add more types of loot to the pool of drops and further support the great work Housemarque did with that game. I thought it was worth it for having played a bunch of it, but if you're not playing much of it, it's probably not worth it.

The Outsider is worth it if you want more missions and loot for SteamWorld Heist.

Think i will pick up the Outsider DLC. Thanks for letting me know.

Finally gonna pick up that Hitman: GOTY upgrade DLC for $5.99.

The Alienation season pass is only worth it for the DLC that's included in this specific pack:

https://store.playst...NALLWEAPONS0001

It adds three new weapons (one grenade, one secondary weapon, and one heavy weapon), but more importantly it includes the primary weapon hack which lets you equip any class' primary weapon regardless of which class you're playing as. This greatly increases the variety of loot you pick up, which is kind of essential for a loot shooter. The primary weapon hack should've been released as a free update to the base game. F*ck 'em for charging extra for it.

All of the other DLC is cosmetic (armor and bullet colors) or just lets you start with a level 15 character. Both are kinda useless IMO.

Yeah, I might just wait then till I get around to playing the game before picking up the weapon pack.

Thank you for letting me know how useless the other DLC is though.

What the Fuck?

Lol

Thank you Frisky for everything you do on here. I know you have made my life and others on here easier when it comes to navigating and shopping on PSN.

Is the Alienation Season Pass worth it? I have the base game although I can barely progress playing solo.

Same goes for the SteamWorld Heist Level DLC.
