Yep. I haven't tried Destiny, but it let me play Titanfall and Crimson Dragon. I didn't purchase either and have never had gold.
Just to give you the heads up I can 100% explain this for all people that come across this on the xbox one on used devices. Each User ID can have a home xbox one that doesn't have to be signed in or even have the user profile to access the games. It is only one home account per account. So if the user who owned the account designates a new system his home account you will lose access to the games. There is also a chance that they never will. It just depends. I use this set up to gameshare with all of my friends. The xbox one is amazing for it because you can have multiple profiles signed in at once. (i.e. my profile +random game share profile gives me access to everything). (his profile+console gives him access to all games) I am the only one that has to be logged in.
The cool thing is if the person never changes it and keeps on adding content you will have access to it. Hence the Destiny.
