On a side note, do other people feel like 2017 just happened to be a slow year for indie game releases?

Maybe I spent too much time on the NFL and fantasy football this year, that I'm out of the loop.  But I've checked out several goty and best games from '17 lists and there just wasn't a whole lot of good Indie action.   Seems like it was a down year.  It's probably hard to find good stuff to publish, let alone get a deal done.

The biggest things I heard of were games like Thimbleweed Park, Night in the Woods, and What Remains of Edith Finch.  I hope LRG can get some of those games.

I really enjoyed Sundered, Steamworld Dig 2, and A Hat in Time.

EDIT: Oh and Flinthook was pretty sweet too.

Any feedback on these:

Children of the Zodiarcs  [looks amazing, card and dice based combat rpg]

Time Recoil [by the same people as Jydge, Crimsonland, etc]

Warhammer Quest

also debating Bloodborne complete... I plat'd the game, but havent played the DLC.   $13 is a fantastic price for it all, but it's still money.

Jydge and Time Recoil are both alright twin stick shooters with moderately interesting mechanics. Neither are essential but there's also a lot worse games out there.

I didn't like Cladun, only played for a couple hours and got bored.

We all got Switches. At least the cool ones did.

Well, I guess that's better than a lump of coal at least. Slightly better...

Thanks Frisky for the list.

I went through each one and Resogun, strangely, was free for me instead of $2.99. I'll take it! :D

Does anyone have opinions on the following (top 3 look fun, last 1 looks interesting):

1) Assault Android Cactus

2) Counterspy

3) Flinthook

4) Lili: Child of Geos

Pondering on these. I prefer physical copies over digital copies.

1) Battle Chasers: Nightwar

2) Grand Kingdom

3) Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter

Thanks for any help. :D

Assault Android Cactus is excellent. Counterspy is alright, we got it free on Plus ages ago.
