Got my white OLED from Amazon and it's so beautiful! I don't really notice the weight difference. In fact, it feels a tad lighter to me, probably because it's a little thinner so that's like playing tricks on my brain. Since I'm upgrading from a launch Switch, I'm just blown away by the bigger screen and better battery life. I totally forgot the dock was white (even though it was right on the box, I guess my excitement just blinded me) and it's so pretty, though I need to make sure it doesn't get dirty or faded. I can't wait to really put some time into it!

 

I was able to get the full $260 trade-in credit for my old Switch at Gamestop, despite the left joy-con drifting a bit before I left home to go to the store. I was praying so hard it wouldn't drift when the girl was testing it! I really hope these new joy-con with the OLED models are better, but I'm not holding my breath. I also canceled my back-up order with Best Buy, so hopefully that pops up for order on the site and a scalper doesn't get it.

 

I'm a little sad about selling my launch Switch. Like, I don't need it anymore and I'd prefer the credit, but I loved it so much. It's nice to have a brand new model, though. I'll love it as much as I loved the old one <3

 

Oh, and I lost my Animal Crossing data when I did the transfer since I forgot that it required a different method for moving the data over. I just don't understand why Nintendo had to make that game's data so fucking complicated to move around. At least I was thinking of restarting it anyway. Makes the decision to do so much easier!

The OLED Switch is…better than I thought it would be. Lots of good QOL improvements. I was mad it wasn’t faster, but the screen IS a big improvement.

Yeah the screen looks really great. Playing Metroid dread and the colors are just bleeding off the screen. I don't play handheld a ton, but this is definitely going to make me play more. The screen size is awesome too, I didn't expect the small increase to feel so much bigger.

It's been a good day!

Went to two Targets this morning just to check things out.  The first one only received two Switches and sold them to the only two guys waiting in line.   The second store had two neon units on the shelf at 9:30am.  Just picked up a single Dread amiibo set.  

 

Release day is so fun.    There were several other people buying the new Pokemon card sets that released today. 

With the God of War delay, I could use a nice B2G1 with Valhalla, TLOU2 and Miles Morales to finish up my PS4 backlog.

I got really lucky with this current Flash Sale - I randomly decided to check if Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 for PS4 was available and, despite it never being available for shipping, a nearby store actually had it available for pickup!!
 

 

 

Unfortunately my 'new' copy of Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection for Switch was gutted/beat-up but hopefully I can just exchange it at a different store.

Fell Seal is a solid Final Fantasy Tactics-like. It seems much more polished than the Mercenaries games.

Best Buy had both Switch and the 3 main Switch Lite in stock just now, was finally able to get a yellow Lite that I’ve been watching for. Hope they go in stock more regularly now.

I've been living under a rock, but if anyone has been under a different one and doesn't know this yet, I highly recommend swords of Ditto. It's an adorable and beautiful, couch co-op-able Zelda like game with significant rogue-like elements.

It's not without some flaws but truly worth far more than the $7.50 it costs when it's on sale.
