Target had been severely lacking clearance deals for a long time, but nothing has been more satisfying this year than this:

$15 Jojo's, $18 Soul Hackers 2, $15 Tactics Ogre, and $18 Star Ocean.  All for only $66 which includes 3 of the most noteworthy JP physical releases since the second half of last year, and that was before any discounts.  The only one I couldn't track down was Demon Slayer PS5 but stores didn't really have any. 

How sad and ironic that the company started in part by the guy who wants to have full physical sets of every console's library has made it prohibitive for modern consoles and nearly impossible for future generations.

Post of the month.    I don't think I could have better described how LRG has ruined (collector) things in a single sentence. 

It's become the company of exorbitant, mail-order Shovelware & Shit, and that was a few years ago.  Some may think that's a bit harsh, but that's what happens when you devalue your brand so hard.  Congratulations, you are now the Mary Kay cosmetics or Rodan & Fields of physical games.  Premium only in price.

Though the $24.99 Tactics Ogre I finally bought yesterday rang up for $14.99 even though it wasn't marked. 

Has there been any word on more Metroid Prime Remaster physical? I finally got around to opening my copy from GS and there's a nice, deep gash no the side from a knife (assuming from when they opened the box from Nintendo). 

I'm still waiting for the word to hear that it's a limited product.  Besides meaningless blogs reporting whatever people are talking about like its fact. Always perpetuating the scarcity, and getting fans and customers all spun up.

I haven't seen anything from Nintendo saying that printings are going to be limited.  In fact, a quick search comes up with multiple results saying that Nintendo is trying to fast track getting more copies into stores ASAP. 

"Scalpers set their sets on Metroid Prime Remastered" they say. Well...only because people can't help themselves and are throwing money at the shortage.  It's nuts how 'snowball effect' and 'self-fulfilling prophecy' these things are.  People get their news from blogs, clickbait, and Youtube.  They act desperate, scalpers sense the frantic desperation, and then go "ok, guess I'll go buy those then". 

At this rate, stores are going to have tons of extras by Q3.  Which will get clearanced out around Christmas.  Cuz Nintendo will make too many.   Nobody will want them anymore once they are readily available on shelves.  The immediacy to buy goes away in a *poof*. 

This all also shows how much influence Nintendo wields with their impeccably crafted Nintendo Directs.  It's some of the most incredibly effective marketing I have ever seen in my life. 

I wish I could delete every mention of the $5 monthly in this thread. Maybe Find something it works on or off.

Attn fellow coffee lovers and enthusiasts! there is currently a price mistake on Starbucks 12oz bags that will prolly get fixed within the next 12hours.  The usual "buy 2 get for $7.99 apiece" is accidentally buy 2 for $8, i.e. $4 apiece.  Both the large print and the fine print on the signage is likely a mistake, and they are ringing up that way.

(It's taking $5.99 off each individual bag, like the small print says. Weekly ad shows the normal 'save when you buy 2; $7.99' verbiage.)

I bet it's fixed by the morning.  But yeah, got 6 packs for $24 total.

Tactics Orge PS5 just got slashed to $24.99 on clearance.  Great deal.

I chuckle at the thought of the 2000-3000 people that have "Garbage Mountain" in their basements from these CEs, drowning in them, that literally no one is going going give a crap about in 10 years cuz they are neither high quality nor desirable.  The market is saturated.  No one cares about any of these products.  For every box that goes to the moon there are five others that are losing substantial value. 

It's just a different breed of gambling addict. 

It's another one of those things:

1) none of us wants to pay the price for the collection.

2) not many people will want to buy these things upfront, when they are easily and readily available.

3) but boy oh boy people are going to lose their damn minds if and when these FF Pixel collections on physical suddenly become OOP.  There's a good chance that it could be a small print run.  They'd be ~$200+ on the aftermarket within a week. 

I think those PS1 'Greatest Hits' FF jewel cases have altered our perception quite a bit.  Possibly even the PSP versions of 1 & 2 that hit bargain bins everywhere.  If this were another series of similar note and stature we'd be buying these games in a heartbeat. (Imagine what LRG would have done to them.)

That's a pretty solid deal on the FF remaster collection.  Very tempting... but I'm going to resist as I have other ways to just play the games if I get the itch to go back to the FF series.  Like I went through the trouble of going for all of the main FF games on PSN for the Vita.

I felt the same way.  Figured I'd just pick them up cheap on Steam.  Well....a year went by and that was never a possibility. They've always been $70+ for the digital bundle.  

I knew that I wanted to have a hard copy of these games.   Then I thought about the future.  How much something like this will cost and be worth as soon as it goes OOP.

Soul Hackers 2 down to $17.99 at several Targets, down from $29.99 from last week. 

I've visited a bunch of stores in the last week and found about 4-5 instances of 1-2 copies of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure on PS5 for $14.99 as well.  These final (70% off) markdowns happen quickly, and then they're gone.

It’s really too bad there aren’t “one-click” options online where you can set up legally-enforceable bets. Because this CE was selling for over $400 on eBay, which you could’ve easily looked up as a data point before making asinine predictions (but that’s not your style), before it was positively reviewed. In your universe, do sold out CEs of well-reviewed games, from a franchise that’s worth $25B, plummet in price? Good luck in life, you’re going to need it.

Does anyone know where I can find an RTX 30 series? Someone swore up and down they were going to disappear from the face of the earth and we'd all get screwed into buying a 40 series. I need a new video card but all I can find are these.
