I went ahead and upgraded to the PS5 from the PS4. Been playing The Last of Us and Division 2 and seen some noticeable improvements in both. TLoU isn't listed as one of the "Boost" games but it certainly seems to run at 60fps even in the "Preferred Graphics" setting. Division 2's load times are much faster and the game is less cumbersome overall. The sound from both games going through my 5.1 receiver is more accurate and crisp versus the PS4's output.
Yes, I am one of the people impressed by the haptics in the controller. I first thought it was a gimmick and not as eye popping as people have said but after playing a few minutes of Astro's Playroom, I can't wait to see how developers utilize this feature in future game releases. I like most of the PS exclusives especially God of War and The Last of Us, Demon's Souls, Spider-Man, Ratchet and Clank, etc. Also, I would have purchased it eventually when the price went down but the out of pocket cost after trading in my PS4 Pro is about the right price point for me. So there's a short list as to why I do own a Playstation and decided to upgrade from the previous generation.
Now the Xbox is just, IMHO, sort of insulting. All of their exclusives are available and run better on PC and are most often cheaper. I can't be too mad though - it's the main reason why I ditched it and built my own PC.

You're complaining about the game being brutal and "off" and unbalanced yet you weren't guarding, weren't equipping better weapons, not being mindful of your equip load, and only using one stance, apparently.

Nioh 2 Complete coming to PC in Feb. Also Nioh 2 and a remastered version of the first Nioh coming to PS5.
I wanted to like Nioh. I played through to the, I think, second to last boss and tried too many times than I needed to beat him. I realized that I needed to grind more and I already put in too much time and effort to get to that point - grinding included. Mind you, I have played and beat Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2, Demons Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, and recently beat Sekiro.
Nioh has some good mechanics, such as the various stances, but it the difficulty seems too unbalanced to be enjoyed.

UPDATE on RTX 3080 FE delay from Best Buy:
I called them this morning and the representative said they didn't have any more in stock and didn't know when they will have more. She did say that they can move the cancelation date if they don't get stock and the order is not fulfilled by Monday.

Managed to get an order in at BBY for a RTX 3080 FE the other day. It was supposed to ship yesterday but is now saying that it's delayed and will be canceled if not shipped by next Monday. It went from "Preparing the order", to "Item is being Reserved", to "Delayed".
Part of me is shaking my fist in the air and saying, "Y'all better not have these in stock this week without fulfilling my order!" Thinking that I'm going to get a cancelation email saying "We apologize but due to limited quantities and high demand, we must cancel your order. If you purchased with a credit card, we will remove the pre-authorization."

At some point, make sure you get Episodes 1-4 for Revelations 2. I just finished-up Revelations 2...and thought it was awesome.
Keep in mind, I haven't played RE7 (and yes, I do have it) & haven't finished RE2 Remake here - but Revelations 2 is the best RE game since probably RE4.
RE4 was the RE to (FINALLY!) get me into the series and is definitely my favorite RE game.
RE4 has always felt like the measuring stick to me, for the RE series. Love that game.
Did you play RE: Revelations 1 before playing 2? If so, would you recommend playing the first before starting the second?

All of this PC retro talk is taking back to the days when I had an IBM followed by COMPAQ PCs. We used to go with my Dad to stores like Egg Head and COMPUSA to either get parts and software for the computers in the house. I'm remembering games like CODENAME: ICEMAN, 7th Guest, Kings Quest., The Last Ninja, that RoboCop PC game, the OG Prince of Persia, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, plenty more including the Reader Rabbit games that my Dad insisted we play.
Those were some good times.

Interesting enough - on Epic Store, as someone who doesn't own any Control stuff there...
I see Control: Season Pass and its DLC's themselves unable to be purchased; the boxes are grayed-out.
I can only buy Control base-game or Control: Ultimate now.
I wonder if owners of Control (base-game) on Epic Store, can still buy Season Pass or DLC's separately.
If that is the case & base-game owners can buy Season Pass and they have a $10 coupon - they could get the Season Pass (just to get Foundation DLC and AWE DLC) for $4.99 AC.
Yes, I have the base game owned on Epic and can still purchase the season pass as well as the expansions separately. I had 2 $10 coupons that I already used on Hades and Mortal Shell but I'm still willing to pay the $14.99 for the season pass which is $10 less than what it used to be.

NewEgg:
Control: Ultimate Edition - Steam [game code] = $21.99
Use Promo CODE - EMCGDFR57
Control: Ultimate contains:
- Control (Base-Game)
- Control: The Foundation DLC
- Control: AWE DLC.
SIDE NOTES:
- Control Ultimate is still cheaper on Epic, if you have a $10 coupon to make it $17.99 AC (after coupon)...and don't mind having it over there on Epic.
- According to ITAD: this is the cheapest the Steam-version has been, in case you are looking for that Steam- version and/or looking to buy other stuff on Epic w/ the coupon (such as Shenmue 3 or Disco Elysium).
I really enjoyed this game - have the standard version on Epic. Are there any reasons I should pick this up on Steam? Also in general, what are, if any, advantages to owning a game on Steam vs. Epic? I've heard quite a few people who say they don't like Epic but any other reasons outside of exclusivity deals are unclear.

Glad that Nvidia has some competition. I've been with them since getting into PC gaming a couple of years back but the botched launch and scarcity of 3080 cards has me on the fence. It shouldn't be this hard to get one and we shouldn't have to wait this long. Yes, the same can be said when the RX 6000 series launches as well but there's still hope. Let the games begin!
