Posts I've Made

I haven't been very good about keeping up with posts, but then again I've had a pretty busy schedule and a hard time finding anything. A few weeks ago I did find a 4gb XBox 360 Elite for $25, but that's been about it until this weekend when I had a chance to hit a few community sales. I got beat to some video games right off the bat, but later I did manage to snag a complete N64 and a complete XBox for $5. At the end of the day though, I snagged these beauties for $15 altogether.

Sunday morning I scored some CiB games for the Omni Entertainment System for $8 ($2 each). Never heard of the system before, but I figured they were neat enough to grab.

*******NON-GAMING FINDS********

My first find on Saturday morning was this awesome plastic-molded Halloween lamp. My parents collected this sort of thing so they make me very nostalgic. Gonna be working it into my own decorating.

After the lamp I found this monstrosity: a Carrot Top alarm clock. I got it for $2, because I am an idiot.

The clock is some sort of promo item for Carrot Top's infamous movie Chairman of the Board. Can't find any info on it, but I bet someone would love to own it. Maybe Norm MacDonald:

Was travelling this week, and met up with a guy from another province clearing out some of his collection. Didn't get everything yet (it's in storage), but I'm making arrangements to pick the the rest of his stuff next time we're in the same area.

2600 lot - only game I don't have is Smurf: Rescue In Gargamel's Castle

Darth Vader 2600 and small NES lot.

This one was my favorite - a Leisure Vision and four games. System works with no issue. I already have a system complete in box, but I find the games are hard to come across locally, so this was a huge score for me.

Bought everything for $70.00 total.

Haven't posted in a couple of weeks - consider this my catch up post.

Was out of town last weekend, so I hit up the Saturday yardsales elsewhere. Competition was seemingly fierce, but I did manage to snag a few items here and there. XBOX and XBox 360 games were $5 for the lot - dude just wanted them gone. Dark Cloud and Hack: Infection (PS2) were $4 - games weren't out, but I asked and the guy running the yard sale brought out a stack of PS2. Nothing else of note, so I picked these up and left. Mario toys were part of a action figure stack I picked up for a dollar - again, someone just wanting to clear a table. Not sure if there's anything else of note in the way of figures, so they'll probably end up in my son's toy box. Wii and Game Gear Game - FREE!

This lot shouldn't have happened on paper - my son woke up at 4AM last night and wouldn't go back to sleep, so I skipped yard sailing and napped when he went down for his nap around 8AM. I didn't leave the house until 10:30 or so, and only walked around my neighborhood with my son in the stroller. Happened upon this lot at around 11:30 or so - dude had been open for over three hours, but no one expressed interested because the prices were too high. Grabbed everything for $55 dollars, which comes to less than $4 per item. Bam.

Bought a Vectrex this weekend, but flipped it to a friend so quick (owned it for fifteen minutes) that I didn't have time to take a picture. Wasn't an amazing price ($140), but it's only the third one I've found in the wild. Also bought a boxed Zelda Windwaker Wii U with nine games, an extra controller and a Mario Amiibo for $260 - more than I usually spend on gaming items, but it was in great shape, and would cost me over $700 if I were to buy the items new. Will post pics later if anyone is interested - really enjoying the system thus far.

Didn't find too much today, but I'm glad I'm moving away from the new consoles into more familiar territory.

Everything pictured here was $42 dollars. Highlight for me was the complete in box Harvest moon. The rest I will likely flip or trade. Left a few things behind today, but no regrets; the basement is starting to look a little scary.

Sadly I missed our annual large flea market this year, but based on what I've seen thus far (lots of overpriced 'finds' in our local gaming group), I didn't miss much.
