Just wanted to share that I found my house in Flight Simulator:
Planning on a high resolution remodel sometime next year.
Must've been expensive to have your home designed by Monet.

The Game Pass version of The Ascent also lacks the option to change difficulty and DX11 simply doesn't work, which is a problem since the game supposedly stutters a lot less in DX11 vs DX12.
Played for a bit yesterday and I'm iffy on it. Gameplay seems kinda fun in the early going but there are some baffling UI/menu decisions. Menus in particular are frustrating to navigate and sometimes the text is just way too small and a pain to read. Game generally maintains 60+ FPS on 1080p ultra for me (GTX 1660) but there's the occasional massive hitch. Very noticeable during big explosions. The art style does look great though. Sound design is strong. Character creation is an absolute joke, unfortunately. The main hub area is huge and insanely detailed but a pain in the ass to navigate, which is made worse by the garbage map.
Stopped it for now to play some other things. Really want to like this since we need more fun twin-stick shooters but might wait for a patch or two before jumping back in.

So Humble has a Sonic 30th Anniversary Sale going on at the moment. Only thing of note is that Team Sonic Racing got its largest discount yet, down to $4 (90% off). Even less with a Choice subscription. Game looked mediocre last time I saw it though so I'm not sure if I'd just rather re-install Transformed instead.

Has revoking keys that were included in a bundle ever worked out for a developer? Every time I see this happens it always unfolds the same way:
1. Developer revokes keys
2. Community gets mad, review bombs game
3. Developer concedes, asks people to contact them for replacement keys (i.e. unnecessary work for both sides)
BTW, did anyone try heading out to a BB this morning for an RTX 3xxx FE card? Lots of stores got a bunch in stock. The one 20+ minutes away from me got stock but I'm betting they're fresh out by now since it's one of only two in Massachusetts to get any.

They already updated the specs to state its a socketed 2230 (your pc uses the larger 2280 form factor). So yes you can find them, but they will cost more (the ones I see that are actually NVME and not just sata interface on an m.2 cost 150-200$ for a 512gb) so its not some huge cost savings by doing it yourself, and thats also if its actually easy to open and get to the socket and you feel like possibly breaking it in the process
There are 128 GB options that are considerably cheaper ($20-25), but if you're gonna pop it open and use up the one available slot, 128 GB doesn't seem worth the trouble. And at that point, considering the costs of the larger drives, then yeah, you're better off just paying more up front.
There's a small part of me that feels like, if I hadn't just bought a new CPU/motherboard/SSD back in December, I might have waited on the Steam Deck and a dock to use that as my main computer. Could probably get away with playing indies and older games on a 1080p monitor without issue. I've always had a desire to go with a more compact setup and that's one interesting way to go about it. But I still feel like I'd run into problems using it as a handheld (my hands cramp up after ~30 minutes on the Switch).

- Portable Steam PC
- Supposedly runs modern AAA games well
- Built on Zen 2 + RDNA 2
- Dock to connect to TV and use peripherals (sold separately)
- Starts at $400 for 64GB model
- Coming December 2021
Really don't know what to make of that button placement. Looks like it could be super uncomfortable but they needed room for the trackpads so it works well with non-controller games. So it's gotta be cramped to some extent.

It's either become much too difficult to put together a decent bundle lately, or they just don't care.
It's the former. Microsoft (Game Pass), Epic (Thursday freebies), and I'd assume to some extent Nintendo (the Switch is an indie powerhouse) have all made it easier for some developers to avoid having to put their games in bundles for chump change.

Is Yakuza 3 and Paradise Killer enough for me to take this one, particularly since I'm burnt out on Yakuza games right now?

I'll say this about Yakuza 3: As someone who played Yakuza Kiwami 2 about a month prior to jumping into Y3, I just couldn't get through it. I think it was less being burnt out on the series and more a matter of the gameplay having aged so poorly. It really does feel like the PS3-era game that it is. YMMV of course. I ended up skipping 3-5 and just watched the movies online so I could head straight to Y6 (which was fantastic). No ragrets.

Fun story: Opened up my case this evening to test something out. Had to remove my SSD and in the process, I dropped the m.2 screw somewhere on the motherboard and didn't see where it rolled. Tilted the case all around to see if it would roll out, but nothing. I ended up taking the entire PC apart to try and find that damn screw. Motherboard, PSU, everything, piece by piece. I eventually found it lodged under the CPU lever here:
I wasted an hour doing this.
