Well, I ended up returning that RX 6700 to Best Buy. Card was less stable than my 1060, and frankly I didn't see enough improvement to warrant the system freezes, and inability to stream consistently in Chrome. I'll keep an eye out for a 3060ti, I guess.

Man, you're in for a treat playing Sapienza for the first time. I'd argue the H1+H2 maps are better overall than those in H3, and I really loved H3. H2 maps in particular are just so consistently good across the board, especially the DLC.

I second this for Sapienza. I think it's possibly the best map of all time. It's definitely in the conversation.

The official Steam Deck dock is a game changer .. much better than third party options that are a pain to plug-in and play with. Having a small keyboard and mouse with the dock really turns it into a great mini pc on your tv option, And the emulation options have really improved … you can almost get rid of your switch. Can’t wait to see a Steam Deck 2 that bumps the system power and battery life, as those are the two challenges with the current Deck imo.

We need more weird-ass typing games. Give me antihero Mavis Beacon typing her way through post-war alternate history settings.

I can’t play light gun games without a light gun (or Wiimote). It just feels empty if I’m not pointing plastic at the screen.

But what about Typing of the Dead? 

That’s a typing game, not a light gun game, and I’m perfectly fine with playing typing games without a light gun.

So my paternity leave has ended and I'm back to work now which is great because it means I can sit around and play games all day again. I managed to get through most of the AAA stuff I wanted to play during my leave and I've been catching up on smaller titles I picked up in the Steam sale or on Gamepass.
