Do best buy sales usually go live at midnight central time?
Yes. In year's past it took until 12:15-ish but lately I've noticed things updating at almost exactly midnight.

Does Guitar Hero Live come with a guitar? If so, I might buy that honestly. Glad I bought Quantum Break with those Cyber Monday Gamestop certs last month - that game just refuses to go on sale.
I wonder if it does too. To my knowledge they never sold a base GH Live without a guitar. If they're $10 I'll be all in
Agreed, it looks like it'll be the guitar bundle. Pretty good deal in my opinion, I'll try it out for that price. Would just be careful of the Wii U version, I've read that it doesn't run as smoothly as the rest. I'll go with an Xbox One copy
Wonder no more - the $19.99 game listed is the game+guitar, and for $9.99 more you can score another guitar. You are correct in the assumption that a standalone game was never released, since this guitar is unique.
Or if you're a real Cheapass, you can score a second guitar by purchasing the game+guitar for $15.99 with GCU then trade the extra game to Amazon for $14.87.

Here's a nifty solution: keep your wii U plugged in.
wahhhhh millennial problems. I can't have two things hooked up at once. I don't wanna spend $30 on a fire stick. I don't feel like using one of my other five Netflix streaming products.
I mean come on man.
I'm a millennial and proud of it - studies show that we are hard working and compassionate people despite the stereotypes. What are you then? One of those Gen Xers or Baby Boomers who lay the blame on other generations for everything or one of those self deprecating millennials? I'm guessing the latter because you have the pompous attitude around here that you are always right.
I know you don't exemplify "Minnesota Nice" either because you are mostly argumentative about everything...and really, just not nice. You can argue all you want but your just kind of a jerk. You can never go "hmmmm...maybe you have a point" or "I didn't see it that way". It's all: These are the things I'M disappointed about with [Switch, amiibo, etc] but people can't be disappointed in other things about it.
I guess I fall under the "bitchy organized mom" who doesn't want a bunch of devices and cords plugged in to TV and different things to clutter my bedroom. I'd be all for trading in my Wii U and getting a Switch but now I guess you say I need to keep both. I pretty clearly stated that lack of a Netflix app won't be a problem for the majority of people, but why drive away the minority? I'm not saying it needs Bluray or DVD or LTE coverage for handheld...just something that has been a part of the Wii/Wii U for nearly a decade...a Netflix app. If I use another device -say a PS4- for my Netflix needs, I will likely get inundated with messages or invites and therefore will likely stay on PS4 and play with friends there. Wouldn't it be viewed as a positive thing for Nintendo to want to keep people in their ecosystem, and utilizing there devices as a part of their everyday lives? There advertising with people playing on rooftops and at the basketball court would make you think so, so it's curious why they wouldn't want to validate that with apps to keep you using the device daily.
A Firestick is only $30, what's another $30? A charging dock for the Joycons are only $30. What's another $30? Memory cards for the system are only like $20 each. What's another $20? And so on and so on. I have four or five other devices that have Netflix. I have four or five other devices that play games too, I guess I'll just continue to play on them I guess. You can buy a fourth Switch to make up for my lost revenue Nintendo won't miss a thing. Don't have to worry about me anymore since, the details have convinced me I don't need a Switch and H4RDC0R3 badasses like yourself don't want me here

Do people not have phones? If I'm going to watch Netflix on the go, i seriously can't imagine pulling out the switch rather than my phone.
Yes, almost all of us have phones. There's a small percentage of people though who either are a) Without a smart phone or B) Despite having a phone would appreciate the function of a portable mini-tablet sized screen with the ability to quickly switch (pun intended) to a game or other app. Even if only applies to a small percentage of users I don't see why they would leave the feature out when it can't be that costly. The excuse that Netflix is already on every other device under the sun can be used against it's absence just as much. If they can have Netlfix on Wii/Wii U/3DS/Roku/TVs/Tablets/etc how hard is it to put on the Switch? I would think their goal should be have the Switch in user's hands as much as possible; higher utilization in any form could trickle over to other services (other games, the eShop).

I only have Netflix on four devices sitting under my television. This news is not cool. I needed a fifth.
Yes, this news doesn't affect you. However, my Switch
is going was going to go in my bedroom to replace the Wii U that's currently housed there; the only thing housed there. My game playing on it has all but grinded to a stop but I still use it seven days a week to watch Netflix in bed, mostly on the gamepad. Not everyone is going to house this console in their living room with their Rokus/Playstations/Smart TVs. There's people like me who might have put this console in a bedroom, or perhaps in a kids bedroom...
Like Deader said, why give more incentive to use other devices for anything, especially when Netflix/app integration is likely very easy to do? I was already put off by the launch games (not everyone likes Zelda, but I understand why people like it), and the pricey accessories...the lack of Netflix would be a deal breaker for me. I have four other devices under my TV that play Netflix...they also happen to play videogames too so I guess I don't need another that does that either.

Nice, there was a clearance copy at my local Target yesterday for 19.98. I'm going to check after work and pick it up if it is still there.
For those wanting to check their local stores.
It'd be nice to know how much the DLC is going to be and how much the retail version will run for. I guess we will find out soon.

Will Walmart price match this? My kids only get Walmart GCs for Christmas from their great-grandparents.
Odds are no. They changed their in-store price match policyrecently to being managed at a store level, which will probably be no given that it's Gamestop and a one day event. I think most stores do not price match whatsoever anyways. Their excuse for the change was, if I recall from the time the press release came out, was that Walmart is dedicated to having the lowest price anyways, so you'll get the lowest price at Walmart (eye roll). It's like when car dealerships claim they have "No Hassle Pricing" because they already have rock bottom prices on cars! No need to fight us on price!!
You can price match via Walmart.comby contacting customer care prior to your order, but your only chance is if Amazon matches the price and you can match it to Amazon.com since Gamestop.com is not a listed retailer to match with.

Good point, there is a rumor that.. Imaginators is the last Skylanders game, and that Skylanders 2017 was canceled due to under performance of the last two games.
Imaginators is a neat concept and a good next step for the franchise but probably isn't lighting the world on fire.
Activision did this with Guitar Hero though where they saturate you with a game every year (or more). Then you get bored of it quickly. I'm sure after the first Skylanders or two they saw dollar signs in their eyes and you can't blame them for wanting to continue to pump out games yearly but they need to have the foresight to space these out a little. Probably could have went every other year after Swap Force.
Then again, what do I know? Maybe they had the market research that it was going to die in 2016-2018 regardless of release schedule so milk it while you can?

So, I don't get this. People keep talking about how developers NEED overpriced DLC to make up for the fact that development costs keep going up, but game prices stay at $60. At least, this is what they say when people lament that a full game now costs more like $100 than $60. Yet, somehow, it seems like the 2016 holiday releases have gotten more, and deeper, discounts than unusual. It's been 2.5 months, and this game has basically LIVED at half-off for the past month, Dishonored 2's gotten there a lot, too. Even CoD, which seems like it NEVER goes on sale until the new one is out, has gotten several discounts.
If these games are really in need of a price hike, why do their sales keep getting more and more egregious? I'm still thinking I'll pass on this, but it's getting hard to keep doing so. Gears 3 was bleh, and it didn't seem like this one changed much from the others. I've got enough NEW things to play, and if they are just going to keep slashing the price on this game, I could probably get it for free by summer!
