Buy games at the price you're willing to pay and don't worry about it if it comes up cheaper later.
No reason to stress your body over a theme you were likely to never use.
That's not the game I play. Does not compute.

Tangent question: How does either PS4 Infamous (the base game or its quasi-DLC) hold up in 2018...? Enjoyable?
I played the first two games on PS3, but never got around to the PS4 entries - even though I have both. (You know: backlog.)
Fantastic. Look and play great. They're a bit shallow by open world definition, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Just don't expect GTA level details.

I see in the Weekly ad there's a $50 bonus for console trade-ins, does anyone know if this is on top of the $125 that is quoted on Gamestop's website? Also, to anyone who has traded in, is it possible to trade in a blue controller with the console instead of the black one that originally came with it? Thanks
Yes and yes

PUBG is more "realistic" battle royal with a bigger map, gun attachments, armor (Fortnite does have shield potions though) more weapons, first person view, vehicles, bullet accuracy and gun handling. It also has two maps vs one (at least on PC, not XBox yet) The downsides are It's $30, doesn't hold stable 30fps, lots of bugs and looks ugly.
Fortnite is a free battle royal game with a smaller map, can be locked 30fps on the X (or unlocked where it roams between 45-60fps) and is much more stable in terms of perfromance and looks appealing despite it's cartoony nature. The downsides are halo reach bloom like bullet detections, less weapons and no vehicles compared to PUBG, no first person view and of course no gun attachments. I don't know if they are adding gun attachments in the long run or vehicles.
They both have their advantages. I'd say if PUBG was on the PC full release schedule with the extra map, bug fixes and a locked 30fps performance it would be the better pick. Sadly PUBG is in a buggy state, though they are patching it once a week so over time it should be a much, much better product.
If you never tried a battle royal game before Fortnite is free and free is always good. Don't know when they are adding the free trial to PUBG. I'm assuming when sales start to slow down on X1, if they ever do. Heard It's already over 4+ million on the XBox.
I just want to point out that you used the terms "realistic" and "shield potions" in the same sentence when referring to Fortnite.
By the way, I am an avid Fortnite player and have never touched the Battle Royale mode. I highly recommend the game for anyone on the fence. It's a lot of fun and highly addicting on the "Save the world" side of it. One day i'll get around to trying out the Battle Royale stuff, I guess.

Yeah, but it just doesnt seem as personal. I like giving particular games as gifts on Steam because they recepients would not have bought them otherwise. Most of the time, they end up enjoying it. I believe a gift should partially come from the heart/brain, not just the wallet.
Wow. What a jerk. Forcing your way of thinking on others. Why don't you just totally ruin his Christmas and donate the money to charity.
I kid, I kid...

I'll be glad when Sony solves all this dumb trophy talk by just letting people do what they really want to do: purchase trophies directly from the store without the hassle of the game as a middleman. One day we'll all be swimming in a sea of trophies with no pesky games to hold us back.

Yeah I thought about heading out to Best Buy for some PUBG discounts, but where I'm at now the $6 would be $3 in gas and since it's just a digital code in a box I'm staying home.
FYI, Best Buy has their promo right now where you get $10 back for any in-store pick up purchase of $10 or more, so that might sweeten the pot for you...

I dunno why people prefer using paypal, had I used my credit card (which I usually do) it would have went right off my temp hold after the merchant (rakuten) cancelled. Used paypal which I rarely do and now I'm out 20 bucks for a cancelled order (thus far) with no refund in sight lol
Well, aside from the obvious problems that can occur like you had, the biggest plus for me on Paypal is ease of use. It makes a lot of websites feel as user friendly as something like Amazon for making a purchase. Any site that takes Paypal generally allows me to go from cart to checkout in one or two clicks instead of having to fill out a bunch of fields for shipping address, billing address, credit card details, etc. I love it for that and get slightly annoyed now when I have to pull out my credit card for a site that doesn't take it. A lot of people tout the buyer protection stuff, but for me it's mostly just laziness that I appreciate.

Everyone please read beginning yesterday MA will no longer give you a free upgrade of a SD title to HD. Here's the linkhttps://help.moviesa...-definition-SD-
I didn't know this previously existed or I would have gone hog wild on SD titles. Thanks for squashing my unknown dreams.

Some Best Buy's are doing PSVR Experiences where they are demo'ing them. I believe some gamestops are too. You can check out the list here:
Put your zipcode in. I tried it out for the first time last weekend at BB. I tried 3 different demo's because no one was waiting so he let me keep going. The day prior was my first time ever experiencing VR at the mall in the MS store and I was instantly sold. I previously was skeptical but once I tried it I was bought in. You can't really explain it until you try it. Seeing "videos" of it does not do it any justice. I had no clue what the depth/3D aspect of it was like until I did it, and it's just really damn cool. But it's clearly not for everyone.
This is perfect timing since i'll have a few days off next week to recover from the pink eye.

Citizens is worth 3 bucks right? Even if I'm never going to play it.
Absolutely. Anything under $5 is worth owning just for ownership sake. Just remember this is digital so you can only buy it once so the fun will be short-lived. Just make sure you film yourself pushing the "buy" button so you get your money's worth out of it and the true satisfaction of being a CAG so you can re-live that memory and post the action here for us to enjoy.

So I get home and that 4TB WD drive I cancelled from Rakuten was there waiting for me. Went and checked and I was refunded (via PayPal).
Hmmm... do I keep it or be good and contact them about it?
This is usually where I email customer service for my conscience sake and rely on these dumb companies' lousy customer service to let my email fall through the cracks. I figure if it works in their favor most of the time when I actually need help with an account problem, etc., it should also work in my favor every once in awhile. If they happen to see it and respond in a reasonable timeframe, I am willing to follow through and do the right thing and return it.
