#13809476 Limited Run Games Thread - Lili SE/CE [PS4] & N++[PS4] on August 18th. L...

Yes, I am starting to get nervous about Ys, especially with both Vita and PS4 versions and a CE. I hope the quantity is greater than NT or WB, but somehow I doubt it. I hope the preorder cuts demand a bit on the sale day, but I suspect many collectors will just buy every version and that scalpers will still go for the CE.

YS is a highly anticipated game so best believe print runs will be low, PayPal orders will freeze up for many like the past 2 releases of highly anticipated games (WB and Night Trap) and Chris from eBay will have 4 copies of every game up for resell within minutes of release. This is starting to be the trend with LRG releases.

Just received my Sonic Mania CE. This was definitely worth $45. Didn't order it expecting a resin statue and definitely didn't expect it to be as big as it is. I actually like the outer box also and will probably keep that too. All versions are available to be ordered on Amazon for anyone who missed out.

To be honest, I would like to meet Chris now. He's becoming a legend here in this thread. He gets multiple copies of every game LRG puts up for sale and has them listed on eBay immediately. I would like to know his secret as it is becoming harder and harder to get releases for a lot of us but he has no problem getting not only one, but multiples. He's infamous to some here as he's looked at like a theif in the night who can't be found and his listings on eBay breaks hearts and shatters dreams.

It's flippin laughable that anyone would complain that a company is releasing too many games. Oh my goodness, more games for people! The horror! LRG are selling out every single thing they release, most times very rapidly. Any proper business would take that as a sign of success and try to make more money by releasing even more games. I don't go into the grocery store and freak out because there are so many choices. It's not like I have to buy one of everything in the store. I actually enjoy having more choices from which to select. If there are too many games, in someone's opinion, being released then don't buy some of them. Don't complain that there are too many choices. LRG is a business. It is making money and is satisfying a clear demand in the market. I hope LRG releases tons of games and gives people tons of choices. Same goes for the other companies such as Play Asia. I will buy the games I want and pass on the ones I don't want. Thankfully I enjoy a wide range of games and have bought every Vita release from LRG because they are quality games and I am a physical-only kind of person. If LRG starts releasing junk then I will pass on the junk. I sure as hell won't come on a forum and complain about titles I don't want. Stores and web sites are full of things I don't care for. That doesn't mean I whine about the quality and/or quantity of products. I just simply vote with my wallet one way or the other.

I don't recall anyone saying that LRG is releasing too many games but I may may be wrong. As for my comment, I stated that I feel they are releasing too many game without fulfilling previous orders. So many things can arise from selling something that you do not have in hand especially from smaller companies which can hurt the reputation of the company such has happened with Special Reserve. Even big companies have problems with pre orders which these orders through LRG have become. Shipping delays from the manufacturer, damaged items from the manufacturer, and mixed up orders are just some that I can think of off hand. My post was in no way trying to bash LRG and like I've said before in previous comments, I love the fact that they are bring physical games to market as I love physical releases rather than digital. My post was just a thought that came to mind when I noticed after yesterday's order that I now have 3 previous orders unfulfilled and if I get lucky next week with Wonderboy, that will make 4.

I know some will probably get mad at this comment but I kind of feel that LRG is moving too fast. I say that because they are selling games faster than they can fulfill them. After yesterday's orders, I now have 7 games from 3 different orders totaling around $200 waiting fulfillment. I love buying these games but $200 is pretty much to just have in the air without anything physical in my hands. I understand that they did say that they won't ship until August but why not just put games up for sale that can be shipped within a week? It seems like so many problems could arise with having so many open orders. Could LRG be using our money that has been paid for previous games that are yet to be fulfilled to already be funding future games?

I'm in no way trying to bash LRG but I do feel like they need to slow down and catch up with previous order fulfillments before they release new games. I do think that maybe releasing 2 games a month is more than enough for collectors and helps a lot of people be able to fund buying these games. I bought 1 of each game released in July and that totaled around $300. I'm sure more people would have loved to buy 1 of each game but didn't have the funds to do it.

#13755293 SNES Classic Discussion Thread

Posted by Jawwaad1 on 26 June 2017 - 06:26 PM

One reason that a lot of people thought that Nintendo released the NES Classic was to keep their name relevant during the holiday season when the Switch wasn't releasing till March. Now that the Switch is here and will do good during the holiday season, could Nintendo have finally come to their senses and know that these retro consoles can make them money and really make this a full release rather than a limited release. Hopefully, Nintendo learned from their mistakes with the NES Classic and will make a ton of these.

I would love LRG to do a physical copy of Dust An Elysian Tail plus a physical copy of the Soundtrack. The game is so beautiful and fun. One of those games that I was sad that i finished. Never wanted it to end. The soundtrack was great also

I'm happy I held off on ordering Strafe:

I saw this and from what I understand is this will not be a LRG numbered game. LRG is just helping distribute this game with a variant cover limited to 1000. I have a copy reserved from Special Reserve so I'm not sure I really care about the variant cover. This is pretty nice though for 2 companies to work together to get games out there

I'm not sure who to be mad at:

Walmarts near me for not having any stock for weeks
Flippers for buying w/e stock might have hypothetically be available
Nintendo for discontinuing something I never wanted until everyone else did

Lol. Definitely Nintendo because if it wasn't for them discontinuing something was still in high demand but wasn't produced to meet that demand, number 1 and 2 wouldn't exist.

I think there are basically 3 types of people that frequent CAG

1) The person who still lives at home and doesn't have the funds to fund their gaming habit so they look for deals here on CAG
2) The reseller who frequents here, slickdeals, and other sites looking for the next flip
3) The person who makes ok money but still likes a deal

I fall into number 3. I'm single and only make around $45k a year. I have a gaming habit, so I love CAG to help me find those deals.

I think people are going to nuts with the ëmployees"are lying or hoarding them blah blah...   At the rate nintendo was shipping these things you have to realize with them stopping production what little was being shipped just became even less to nothing soon...

People thinking the employees in mass are hoarding them is stupid.. yes it may happen once in awhile but mostly not likely...  And when people say oh brickseek says 3 in stock the store said they had none and an hour later it went to zero  grr lying employees....  It takes brickseek time to update and how long exactly is totally random.

I know the store I got mine from had 5.. I bought one and two other did so three were gone but when I got home the stock was still at 5 for at least and hour or longer and it updated and went to 0.....

So even though brickseek says there are some and you call and they say they are out its most likely gone and the site is not updating...

Theres not global hoarding of these things by employees and the only reason why people are getting pissy and bitching and claiming employees are is because they cant get the item to Resell themselves...

Lol. Completely agree. From different threads here on CAG, so many people claim to have 100k a year jobs but yet so many are going crazy to get 1 of these to resell to make $200. If making $200 is so important to someone that they'll go through searching the web for stores who might have one and driving all around town, maybe they need to think about getting a new job that pays more instead of bashing Walmart employees for making $8-9 an hour.

It's funny though that so many people are getting mad at Walmart employees because they might be "hiding" or "holding" Classics (which isn't always the case when an employee can't find a item that shows in stock) so they can flip it when probably most people who are getting mad, just want to flip it themselves. I can almost guarantee that a lot of these same people who are getting mad would "hide" or "hold" these Classics too if they had the chance. It's just funny how a couple hundred dollars can turn some into savages hoping to get a quick buck.

Found a store on Brickseek an hour away that shows 3 on hand. Website says 2...won't let me order for store pickup though. I called and talked to an old woman in electronics...confirmed they had them but wouldn't hold even though I said I live an hour away and would leave immediately. Called back and talked a manager...she said they were still on a truck waiting to be unloaded, limit 1 per customer. I explained I was an hour away and asked of I could hold one. She said again no holds and they're on the truck. So I said "Okay, I'm about to drive an hour to get there, will they still be on the truck?" She said they might. It's like...goddamn bitch, go fucking get them then. This is why Walmart employees are paid like shit and are viewed as shit: BECAUSE THEY *ARE* SHIT.
Sorry if I'm overreacting, but that is just piss-poor customer service. You have a guaranteed sale, and you aren't willing to do anything - even the tiniest of things - to get it.

To be honest, it's just not that easy to "just go get them". Trucks could be an average of 2000 pieces of inventory and they could be in the front, middle, or back of the truck. Could be 1-2 hours to unload but you never know. No offense, but it just seems you are mad because they wouldn't hold one for you which is not unusual for majority of retailers when it comes to "hot" items.

I'm surprised people buy these to resell. Sure, a few releases have gone to over $100 such as Breach and Clear, Shantae, Saturday Morning RPG, and Abe's Oddysee but majority of releases are only selling for $60 on eBay which doesn't seem like enough profit after eBay fees, PayPal, and shipping.
