Can't remember....can you use trade credit on steam cards or did they do away with that like itunes and whatnot?
Yes, but a lot of stores don't have physical cards anymore. They can print you out $20 or $50 codes on the receipt.

I bought Steam yesterday, so I'd assume yes.
And on that note, had a funny experience with it. I went in to buy $50 of Steam bucks. They didn't have physical cards, so I told the person working printing me a code was fine. She looked confused. So I had to explain to her that normally they can just sell me a code on the receipt. She looked really confused and said "Oh, I don't know how to do that and anyone who would know has quit." lol. She did figure it out tough, so good on her. Got to love Gamestop's continued slow circling of the drain.
Yeah from what I've seen stores have gotten rid of physical cards since there's a lot of older people getting scammed into buying steam cards for fake lovers on the internet..

Hopefully someone can confirm if in store works, but I have used the online one for quite a while and also not able to get digital codes working with it online
Just picked up a on-receipt $100 Razer Gold gift card and both my $5 monthly and $15 certificate applied to it. The online certificate has never worked on them also.

Ended up with $1300 in trade in credit yesterday, traded in my Switch, ps4 pro and xbox one x plus a bunch of extra controllers lol. Note they can't put more than $1k on trade in card. I got $200 dollar in steam gift cards to save up for the Steam Deck and got far cry 6 ultimate to bring it under $1k. They said I return the game back today, and get the credit back.

Looking at my account I have 833,000 lifetime points. I think the vast majority of those came from those amazing Redbox flips with the additional 50% bonus a few years ago
