Took 11 mins and 3 browsers, but I got mine at MS Store. *phew*
*EDIT* Microsoft Edge ended up being the browser to get through. In case that matters...

Finished Sonic Mania after getting it from that movie promo. It's as good as everyone says, and more balanced than the older games. It might be the best 2D Sonic game in that regard.
The first two Thrice albums are still pretty great, but I wouldn't put them in any category of perfection.
You know what did come out in 2003, though - Hail to the Thief, the Postal Service, Jay Z's the Black Album, the self-titled blink182, Outkast's Speakerbox / Love Below, Sing the Sorrow... it was a pretty great year in music.
The fact that you named these 03 releases and didn't name Linkin Park's Meteora hurts my heart.

Wow I love our community here. Someone posts what, to them, is only a mild concern and immediately the discussion isn't centered on video games or saving money or whatever random topic of the hour we're discussing, but on the well-being of one of us.
To me, that number meant nothing so glad to have all this experience around. Go team!

Well I'm bummed, but at least Mixer served its purpose in my life and made me a fan of streaming entirely. On Twitch, I'd only watch pro Halo events when they were on and thought watching a person gaming was pointless, but now I think I tuned in for at least 20-30 minutes a day for the past year or so and watched a stream. It's become a bit of a daily activity now. I jumped on as a Mixer Pro early on to support the platform and subbed to a couple streamers (Xbox legend Stallion83 being one of them).
I never thought I'd be the type who PAYS to watch people play video games, but Mixer changed that for me. It's so exciting to see what a streamer and their community bring on a daily basis so I'm not sure exactly where at the moment, but I'll be continuing to support streamers where/when I can.

I'm testing out a few Microsoft-published games that are on Game Pass to decide if I want to spend $5 on them as a part of the current sale since they might disappear from Game Pass at some point.
I've been trying to play Ori and the Blind Forest this evening, but the prologue is tedious as hell. Can anyone explain why this game is so beloved by the gaming public? The art and the animation are nice, but I'm already bored. The last time that I had that feeling was when I played Old Man's Journey. Also, does Ori and the Blind Forest have any replay value?
I stopped at the prologue too. It was torture. Never went back.

The thing with Ori, in my opinion, is that you need to grab a couple of the powerups. It doesn't take that long, but it's certainly beyond the point at which you get the first few achievements. I felt that initial boring feeling myself but I stuck with it and not long after was having fun.
Once the jumps turn from pressing A into pressing A+A+hold Y+Up and all sorts of combos, it's a blast. (mini pun )

For those of you who aren't in the trading thread, somebody is selling Jedi:Fallen Order Deluxe for $20, which is more than half off the last sale price of $41.99.

I don't know the person or anything like that. Just want somebody who may frequent this thread to get in on it if they were looking for a good price on the game. Personally, I'm waiting however long it takes to hit EA Access.

I bought a new X1X from Microsoft store in March for $200. I thought that was the beginning of the X1X inventory blowout but the sale price didn't last very long.
This is the play for me right here. I'm going contrarian and targeting the Xbox One X when the Series X comes out. I just got 4K in my gaming room ~10 days ago, and I'm still on the OG VCR model console so when the Series X comes out, I'm hoping for a $249-$299 ($200 best case) price range on the One X. I'd think that's gonna be a huge enough jump to blow socks off so I can save the Series X for down the road.
I'm about to hit $200 in Bing points, and hopefully can afford a One X with 100% Bing funds by the time Series X comes out.

Oh, we must take a moment to honor the fallen from the Oman wars.
#neverforget
RIP Tyler...his loss had an impact though. He's gotta be the reason Xbox One is region Free...so we never lose another like him. I'm pretty sure Phil would feel the guilt of that ban hammer. Mattrick.

Fearful Symmetry and the Cursed Prince is on sale for 49 cents. Interesting price. I always thought 99 cents was the cheapest games would go (Looking at you Just Cause 1 and Crypt of the Serpent King) on the marketplace. We all probably have 49 cents lying around under the couch or in the car so I made a blind purchase. 53 cents after tax.

There seems to be a lot of chatter on here about achievements/gamer score/etc. What is everyone talking about and why is it important?
Would you like getting paid to play video games? Well there's an app called Von Republic on Xbox which gives you real prizes (free shipping as well) in exchange for your achievement earning. Your achievements earn you Von Coins on the Von Republic app and you're able to use the coins to bid and earn prizes in various auctions, which include things ranging from mugs/books/figurines to consoles/controllers/games.
You earn achievements even with your notifications off so you may have some coins available to you. They give you an initial amount on signup depending on your Gamerscore.
It's worth at least looking into. Might even make you turn those notifications back on

im kinda confused on this are we keeping the points if we do or do not donate???
They gave 2,000 free Rewards Points so I just gave 1 back. Still get a free 1,000 points in the end. It was kind of a 'why not?' feeling so I acted on it. Cool of MS to give that away to everybody.

Currently playing from the backlog:
Skyrim + DLC (360), almost 100%
Thought I was the only one playing Skyrim 360 in 2020. You getting any funny looks because your shouts don't work first time? Wife thinks I'm in my room doing witchcraft the way I'm sounding off haha. I blame Kinect.
