#13827658 Humble Bundle Thread

I personally couldn't give two fucks whatever deviant games people buy or play, and I'm sure the Sakura games (although it pains me to say this) probably has more going for it than the average titty game given it's popularity, but it always amuses me how bent of out shape people get when I call them perverts for buying/playing these games.

Maybe I struck a nerve? The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

Honestly I've never had a problem ordering online from Gamestop. It just figures that one of the few times I go into the store, this happens.

On an added note, experiences like these make me have no sympathy for B&M stores who are closing down due to the popularity of online shopping. If I just wanted to buy something, I'd do it online where it's cheaper and more convenient. If you want me to come into your physical store to buy something, you better offer some service that makes up for the increased cost and lack of convenience.

Am I missing something here?

I reserved a copy of COD:Ghosts at Gamestop since it was on sale for about tree fiddy, which is probably what an old COD game is worth nowadays. Anyway, I went to pick it up yesterday. The clerk pulls out a copy that's clearly unsealed. I point this out, and she tells me that "I can re-wrap it for you if you like". WTF??? I grab the game, open the case, and of course, it's just a couple of discs with no CD key. I tell the clerk that since there's no CD key it's useless. She looks at me like I'm crazy and tells me she's never heard of a CD key before. I try to explain to her that all PC games have CD keys, and the game is unplayable without it, but she isn't having it. Finally the other guy working there walks up and is like "oh yeah it looks like these are supposed to have activation keys". No shit??? Obviously I walked out of there without paying 3 bucks for some useless pieces of plastic.

So anyone else who ordered the $3 COD:Ghosts off Gamestop... I hope you guys don't get opened boxes with no CD keys.

All you in-denial motherfuckers who are saying "yeah, the match-3 mechanics are great!" sound like nitrosmob when he discusses the "plot" in those deviant smut games.

"A remaster of the latest installment of the “Unlimited” series, with over 50 DLC’s included.."

At least the DLC is included.  wow at over 50

It's an animu game, I'm sure 90% of the DLC is alternate outfits so you can play dress-up.

Aren't all the Sniper Elite games since V2 just the same game but on a different map?

I know that Witcher 3 DLC is a different story, but buying DLCs for games that you haven't even started yet is a sucker's bet. It'll only get cheaper (or bundled) later on down the road.

Also inb4 spoder "y u noe buy dlc that one time it went on sale and then never went on sale again!1!11121!"

On top of that the prices for buying the items in multiplayer are incredibly inflated and if your car gets destroyed you lose out on that money. There is an option to buy insurance for the cars which has to be payed each time a car gets destroyed.

lolwut? Did you play for longer than 5 minutes? Buying insurance for your car is cheap as Fuck, you'll probably have enough money after just 1 job (Plus I think if you order cars off the website they automatically come with insurance). And if another player destroys your car, they have to pay the "restoration fee", not you.  The only times you'll have to pay is if the cops or other NPCs destroy your car (uncommon, depends on how much you like throwing explosives) or if you're a dumbass like me and destroy your own car by driving it into the river...

Other than that though, your complaints about everything being overpriced is accurate. They definitely do want you to buy shark cards. Especially with the newer stuff, it can take days of grinding to buy the new "toy" whatever it is. But then again, you don't "have" to have it. The only things you really "need" are an apartment so you can start heists, and the Armored (bulletproof) Kuruma to faceroll through most of the missions. Everything else is icing on the cake and it's great if you have it, but not a big deal if you don't. I don't own any tanks, or planes or helicopters and I can still complete all the missions and have fun doing it.

Having said all that, I've actually been playing a lot of GTA online recently (with the new gunrunning update). If anyone wants to play, add me on steam or rockstar. Also a few tips for new players. If you want money, open up your cellphone, go to "quick jobs" and do "contact missions". Those are usually relatively easy (read: can be done with random pugs) and pay out anywhere from $10k to $20k. Heists should only be done with people you know or trust, doing it with randoms is a nightmare.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Fairy Tail Manga Bundle, especially given the fact there's a deviant tier.

I've heard Crashlands is really good so I'm tempted to get it. Anyone have any thoughts on it?

Played the PC version, it's pretty fun if you like games like Don't Starve. Basically you go around trying to gather materials to craft shit before getting EAT'd by the dangerous wildlife. So kind of like living in Australia.

Crashlands is more humour oriented, compared to Don't Starve.

Who cares if the sales are bad? It's not like any of you play games anyway.

Might as well just throw the game you kinda-maybe-don't-actually-want on your wishlist and pretend that's an extension of your library. Having a +1 on your wishlist is just as useful useless as a +1 in your library.
