Finished Dragon Quest Heroes 2 and I'm pretty disappointed. They improved a few things, but also changed some things that didn't need to be changed.

I started up Torment: Tides of Numenera and I loved the first hour. Originally I had thought that it was a isometric Diablo style game, but it's actually a hardcore RPG where dialogue options matter. Also, the combat is turn based and it has this unique system where you can use different abilities to increase your chances of hitting. So far it's one of those games that after you start playing you can't stop thinking about.

I am officially Souls'ed out. I can't bring myself to finish the DLC for SotFS ESPECIALLY after having beaten the main campaign. There is so much loot that would have aided me within the main campaign and playing it now seems unnecessary.

Next up on my RPG list is Dragon Age Origins but I would like to play something short, fast paced, action packed and fun so I may play Battlefield Hardline, God of War Ascension, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, or Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition.

Hardline was better than I expected.

I've been picking up a lot of games lately because of Amazon's price glitch and Half Price Books 30%, 40%, 50% off coupons.

Here's what I've picked up recently:
Ride 2
MXGP3
Crash Bandicoot Trilogy
Victor Vran Overkill Edition
Torment
World of Final Fantasy
FFXII
Digimon World: Next Order

My favorite was doing the monster hunts. I also just LOVE that you can have whatever active team you want at any given time, that you didn't have to always have the hero in the party.

There's so much in that game. It is crazy deep. And like I said, when I started playing it again maybe 3 years ago, the forums on Gamefaqs were still very active. A lot of people made classes and rules based on what skills you could or couldn't use.

Anyway. I think this will be the game I play for a while now.

I'm curious to know how you feel about all the changes once you get into it.

So, I picked up FF12 last night.

FF12 is my favorite FF. Although, 15 comes close. This will be my third run at this game. I started a file a few years ago (forums were still active!) with the mindset that I would destroy it and get the ultra rare Danjuro dagger.

First impressions: Wow, visuals are awesome. New jobs system will also keep things fresh for someone like me. Also: There is an even MORE rare weapon. Some bow that is invisible and in an invisible chest. Has a 1 / 10,000 chance of appearing.

Now I have to get that. Also, seems like there is an "upgraded" Danjuro dagger. Have to get that too. Very happy with this purchase so far.

I picked it up too! This will be the first time ever playing it so I'm pretty excited. Glad to hear some early praises from a fan.

Wow I was wrong.

https://blog.us.play...ps4-pro-bundle/

It's just a white console though so I'll pass. It's more a bundle than anything else.

The most exciting thing about the white console is that this is a sign that more unique PS4 Pros should be coming out soon.

Seems like everyone is killing their backlogs!

I just started up Dragon Quest Heroes II. There are some slight mechanic changes from the first one that I am still getting used to, but it's pretty much the same. Graphically, it seems to be a pretty big improvement and that's always nice.

Ya I started with $100 back in the Target Ghost days and now I have $3000+ in credit and a bunch or preorders paid off plus I haven't paid for gas in years or video games in years. I also have a sizeable collection X1 PS4 3DS. I have 60+ digital 3DS games and some physical as well as some PS4 and X1 games 20+.

I have so many games preordered and paid off here that I'm looking into buying other region games from PlayAsia.

Truth.

A good start is not asking questions that have been answered in an FAQ or in the last two pages. Also never post your flipping proceeds.

Dude I have to give you props. You've had that same icon for fucking ever. What's the backstory on it?

This thread is a breath of fresh air.

I don't know how some of you guys like Corg can stand dealing with the Gamestop thread.

$1600+ in credit > dealing with jerks. Honestly, I just pay attention to the people who've been there for awhile. I do try to help people who are new when I can, but I feel like there are people who are better than me at explaining things.

As far games go I finished Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below, Titanfall 2, and Outlast 2.

I absolutely loved Dragon Quest Heroes. I bought the sequel during the B2G1 at GS with Bomberman and something else. I'll probably start working on it after I finish Deadpool.

Titanfall 2's campaign was pretty fun. I had zero interest in it, but since it was on sale and traded in for more than I paid for it, I decided to blast through it and trade it back into GS. I feel like it's hard to mess up a mech shooter, especially since they don't come out that often. One of my favorite features is you can do turn autorun on so you're character is always sprinting.

Outlast 2 was okay. The first Outlast was way better and the Whistleblower DLC is my favorite of the 3.

Right now I'm working on Deadpool for PS4. The "remastering" isn't all the great, but the game is a blast.

I actually kept a few of the free games :)

attachicon.gifIMG_1550.JPG

I also treated myself to a few games. I got Dragon Quest Heroes 2, Deadpool, and Bomberman R. Did you get the blue or brown cover for Binding of Isaac? If you got the blue cover what color is the art on the cartridge?

So here's a question, I had my sister-in-law trade in about $300 in games for me and sign up for a Powerup Rewards and the associate put all the credit on her new card. Would I be able to use this card on my account or am I limited to her account? I know people have mentioned using other accounts coupons have resulted in getting banned.

Something also happened that was pretty cool. I gave my sister-in-law a $5 trade in bonus card to go along with the games. After the transaction was over the associate handed her same $5 card back. I know it's a small victory, but I'll take it.

#13766800 GameStop Weekly Deals Thread

Posted by Corgstradamus on 03 July 2017 - 11:49 PM

Decided to add up all my activity since when I first started this whole process April:

Investment: $517.44

Preorders (14 games paid off): $791.08
Games purchased and played: $477.36
Remaining credit: $370.80
Total: $1639.24

My initial investment is high because when I first started I didn't know what I was doing. I guess I should have read the FAQ sooner.  :-

I'm guessing you're joking, but I have to ask if you're serious?

Twenty effing pages? Please someone give me cliff notes I usually read them all, but I'm sure it's mostly unimportant. Thanks in advance.

GameStop addressed what people are doing and they said they don't care.
