from what i've watched from streams, only mats drop from monsters. then you use the mats to craft gear and weapons. and yes, it is very grindy.
but why you thinking about MH, only 3 days left of GE. got my classified alpha bridge son, let's go!!!
RNGebus has not been kind to me. I'm averaging one Damascus per day.

Huh, somehow I own this Grim Dawn one. See.. thanks ya'll. Is the DLC necessary or just an addendum to end-game?
I have no idea how I own this game.
Nope, you won't need the DLC until you've played for 50-100 hours. Crucible is a horde mode arena which is kinda fun and dumps tons of loot. Ashes of Malmouth adds a couple new areas and classes to the game, but there's already lots of content and build diversity (with relatively little penalty for respeccing your character).
I actually liked Grim Dawn more than any of the Diablos. There's lots of solid ARPGs to choose from.

I have noticed some people posting their hauls, but remember the steam sale is not over yet. THere is still an hour to capitalize on hot deals like Skyrim for just 20 bucks or Watch Dongs for 10.19 or Call of Duty Ghosts - Digital Hardened Edition for a measly 65 dollars. BUY BUY BUY
Thanks for the advice. Just grabbed Divinity: OS 2 at 10% off. That was a close call.

Is it still worth playing if you only have the base game and none of the dlc?
Yes, there's plenty of content in the base version of The Division. The recent update even added a new high-level PvE zone which is good for end-game loot hunting.

Besides Age Of Wonders 3, what where the other games that were initially on the list of available games for GOG connect before getting removed?
My theory is that those games are scheduled to eventually participate in GOG connect, but GOG screwed up and listed them early. If I'm right, we'll probably see them listed in the next GOG connect in a couple of months. So I'd like to at least check out what sort of discount they're getting in the current steam sale.
I missed out on Torment: Tides of Numenera

Parallacks, Syntax and myself been running the Division hard this week (like running Fox's mom kinda Hard). Syntax is on vacation now but im sure Parallacks and myself will be on this weekend. We power leveled Goose from 24 to 30 in a couple of hours.
We also spent a couple hours trying to teach Weiler how to use the 37 different currencies in the game.
The last two weeks of playing The Division have been a blast. While I had spent a hundred hours at launch exploring the game world, I quit playing before any of the expansions and major updates. Now getting my first taste of the end-game content, i've rapidly become hooked. Our forays through the harder game modes have been a fun mix of steamrolling through street trash, getting into tense and drawn out firefights, and occasionally being wrecked by mobs for which we clearly were unprepared.
The Division's combo of the lootspam from Diablo-style ARPGs and gunplay which reminds me of the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer horde mode has been extremely satisfying. Really glad I came back to it.

Since steam has become so bloated with inconsequential games, I use my wishlist as my personally curated storefront. Much easier scrolling through a list of 500 games than trying to slog through thousands of Bad Rats clones during sale season.
Heck, I find more stuff to buy off the friendslist activity feed than the regular sale pages.

So what division dlc's are even worth the time? Dont know how interested im into pvp stuff. Probably running around the dark zone with the bros will be enough of that for me. Some extra coop missions id be down for if the price is right
Underground and Survival are both co-op and worth picking up.

The spofos reactivated their agents last night in Tom Clancy Presents Tom Clancy's The Division, a Tom Clancy Production (*this game not endorsed by Tom Clancy). Had two squads, one with lower levels and one a mix of max & low level characters. That second group probably didn't have much fun, since there is no difficulty scaling, meaning the noobs would have spent most of their time crawling towards a revive. Our other squad ran a couple missions and did jumping jacks while trying to parse all the menus and numbers the game throws at you. Then we ran into a mission in which we were underequipped and constantly got overrun by those jerks with the flamethrowers.
I had fun. Reminded me how I dumped a hundred hours into The Division long long ago. The game has changed quite a bit since then, and i'm looking forward to running through it again, assuming I can squeeze it into the regular rotation of other games i've been ignoring.

F1 2017 is on sale for 40% off right now, which happens to be the same discount you receive via the coupon in the codies bundle. What a bargain.
edit: dirt 4 is only 55% off vs 60% with the coupon, although any sane person will wait for that game to be free.
