Not to derail this engaging dialog, but what's the hotness in HDDs now. The last drive I bought was a WD Black 3 TB over 2 years ago. It's full of games now, so I needs mo. Needs it.

Im a fan of these:

The toshiba x300 series. Toshiba is one of the few brands still hitting a good price/perf ratio compared to competitors. Their x300's are also 7200rpm and 128meg cache vs the 64 on most of the competitors. I have a 6tb I use as my steam/origin/ubi drive and a 5tb for movie storage. As a game drive cant complain.  Also use the p300, which is the 64meg cache model, in my steamOS box for the living room just cause I needed something cheap with a few TB's and it fit the bill

Anybody have thoughts on the Wildlands season pass? On sale at GG right now and wondering if I should get base game or gold.

From what Ive read on various sites its super duper meh. The narco road expansion missions take place on a completely separate map with separate weapons and a completely different character. Not sure if thats also true for the latest, or upcoming I cant keep track, expansion, but it was for narco.  Also the reviews on narco are mostly negative, its a vehicle focused DLC for a game with utterly horrible vehicle controls. Its also not really ghost recon at all, its basically shoving gta/saints row into what is supposed to be a stealth game

Paradox and the Shadowrun Returns dev making a turn based mech game that looks almost exactly like Front Mission 4. Not gonna lie, immediately pumped for that.

yea its the new battletech game

paradox seems to have some interesting things coming between that and surviving mars, a mars city builder from the tropico devs (thats the one Im pumped for)
