#11799814 Steam/Origin etc Buy/Sell/Trade Thread! - READ THE OP! ONE POST EVERY...

Anyone who has bought Super Street Fighter IV AE on Steam now has a GFWL key that can be used on another account to activate the game. Copy the key down quick though even if you don't sell or trade it immediately, it will probably be gone from Steam tomorrow (it will still work, just you won't be able to see it any more).

GFWL has been removed and the keys are now no longer accessible. Hope you grabbed it while you had the chance!

Nice @Sleeping Dogs. I already have it on PSN...thoughts on PS3 vs PC for this game?

If you have the system for it, the HD texture pack and higher frame rate make it a truly beautiful game on PC. Otherwise there's no reason reason to double dip.

Speaking of dead horses to beat, Kingdoms of Amalur updated today on the Steam Store, dropping the base price to $19.99 and now listing EA as publisher alongside 38 Studios. Last time the base price dropped, they had a Steam sale the very next day. But the more interesting part is adding EA to the store and what that could mean. Personally I bought it on Origin last year's EC and played it for a while until I got bored with it, I don't mind it on Origin but I know a lot of people have been holding out for Steam.

Complaining is not trolling. He's right to say the sale hasn't been stellar. It hasn't been awful either. Tony's a grown up he can handle a little non personal criticism.

Don't worry I'm sure Tony is not wasting his time in this thread, so I'm sure he stay while it's profitable for Amazon.

I find it funny that when I hover over your name, it says "too many jerks on CAG lately". You're right, and it's up to the admins to fix that, and the way you do that is by having no tolerance for obvious trolls. One troll drives off multiple potential good posters. Forums quickly gain a reputation for being cesspools (the steam forums, gamefaqs, etc). I know the people running CAG don't want that reputation to come here.

The dude may have been trolling, but he didn't say anything offensive. I wouldn't report his post just cuz he thinks the deals suck.

Tolerance of trolling results in forums occupied by nothing but trolls. Occasional complaints or lapses is one thing, an account that has done nothing but post intentionally inflammatory comments is of no value to the community.

Given all the talk here about The Secret World (and that it was one of my EC purchases that I still haven't installed), this seems relevant:

Funcom stock delisted in norway, company under investigation

Hopefully it won't impact their ability to keep the game running...

Bioshock Infinite isn't exactly a price match, they lowered the base price to $29.99 (which had already happened earlier this month most places) but left the 67% discount in place. Will be interesting to see if they "correct" it back to the other price or leave it there for the rest of the sale.

What the hell is wrong with the EC list. So apparently Tomb Raider is on the list, but it doesn't show up here for me

http://www.amazon.co..._rd_i=979455011

There are supposed to be 123 items there, but I only see 94? WTF?! The 5th page is empty and there are only 9 items on the 4th.

What else am I missing?

It's been like that the whole sale, there's never really been any explanation as to why. It's pretty well known that Amazon's entire system for selling digital games is really poor (no cart, doesn't take some forms of credit, bad coupon tracking, frequent mistakes, etc), so I guess we all just assume this is something similar and ignore it at this point. Basically the only way to know for sure if you have a credit and if it works on a specific purchase is to try to buy it and see what happens.

The comments to that review confirm it doesn't

Apparently I failed to fully read the very page I linked x.x

Honestly, it amazes me that Tony still even participates in this thread. We aren't the target market. We don't buy full price games, we know all the sales from all over the world, and we only want the best possible deals. We aren't a profitable group, not to mention aren't really all that big in terms of users either. Tony said it himself, while people were whining here, he was seeing more sales than most other days. Yes, in the past there have been killer bundles and EC deals that we all jumped on, but he could (and does) post them just as easily elsewhere. Clearly he's expressed enjoyment for the community, but we see one sale fall a little flat and the pitchforks are everywhere. I hope for Tony's own sanity that he gets nice bonuses and just uses "CAG time" as a cover for porn surfing or something, because this place hardly seems worth his time.

Just a reminder that three of the best EC deals, Brothers, Marlow Briggs, and How to Survive, are scheduled to end tonight, so if anyone has been on the fence (or holding out because they were hoping for better deals), don't forget to jump on them.

If the EA guy is really smart, all of their EC deals will rerun on January 31st to catch everyone's remaining coupons.

Skimmed the thread, if there's issues with publisher responsiveness, why not more deals from the ones that already have things on the list?

For example, Focus Home has Mars: War Logs and Contrast on the list, how about:

Of Orcs and Men for something like $8-10 pre-EC, or maybe in a bundle with Mars for $13-15 pre-EC. Also Magrunner: Dark Pulse for $7-8 pre-EC.

Not huge names, but I'd bet sales would be decent. Heck, they had a Humble Bundle this year that I'd imagine a lot of people missed and would jump on an identical deal at $10 or so pre-EC.

It's from a different developer, but there was a bundle this summer with Symphony, but it's hardly been on sale at all otherwise.

Symphony I'd buy at $7.50 pre-EC or less. Given that it was essentially $2 in the bundle, $6.99 pre-EC seems reasonable.

Well, I debated and debated last night whether to finally bite on The Secret World all the way up to midnight... and I resisted. Only to long on tonight and see the price match! So I finally gave in. Now just to find 40 gb of space...
